Lenny, great photo! Where is that bridge? I am drooling because I will ride behind the 2816 and the 261 on July 3 if all goes well. Last time I saw both was at Steamtown in 1995, and the 2816 was in a sorry state (long before restoration.)
By the way, the AUX. Tender is this old D&H Tender. Photograph by Dave T. Klutchko at Binghamton, NY in 1986
Question, can I use your photo of this tender within my web site? Here is that same tender historically behind D&H Challenger #1517 in Mechanicville, NY Collection of Scott J. Whitney within the DHVM
Thanx Guys, I was fairly stoked when I found out how easy it was to post the pics. I only got 489 while in Antonito I didn't get pics of the loco on the rtn trip as it became quite overcast. Anyways I thought I would post this little lady about to go on a tour from Canberra station in Aug 2000
Sten, I thought given your posting #489 at Antonito Colorado from September 2000 that you might enjoy also seeing #484 that is also at Antonito from September 1992. [ March 13, 2006, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: Stourbridge Lion ]
Thats a nice pic of #484 Darren , The only other locos I saw when there was K-37 #494 which is mothballed at Antonito and k-27 #463 which hauled the train back from Osier Russell, I guess you could call #1210 and English locomotive with American influence or an American locomotive with English influence. Here is one that was heavily influenced by a US locomotive guess which one???
Nice shots Sten & great to see you posting! This is my favourite loco & always will be! Thats Boon Morrison on the left on a visit down under for our Narrow Gauge Conv. & proud owner/builder Bruce McClintock on right, who sadly past away last Friday after a long battle with cancer,he will be missed by many but never forgotten!
Sorry to hear about Bruce Jason, a type of person that you want to be apart of this hobby and an excellent builder my thoughts are with family and friends Alex
