I think that the latest pic was taken, in the Big Sky country. On the last pic of the lemon drops here is the clue Brat Pack just north of there hangout.
Just think cool. Clue/hint: With regard to the CN units and all that beautiful cool snow. This location, on the Mississippi around 150 miles west of Chicago, was founded as the first white settlement in _______ by French-Canadian lead miners in 1788. In the nineteenth century it became a boisterous river port and logging center.
just think on those CN units on one side of the river u get cheese the other u might get a slab of bacon and a bushell of corn.
Wow! This thread, fell off to the middle of the third page. I did note that viewership went from 1,014 to 1024, so someone is taking an interest. There are currently three photos with no I.D. Feel free to take a guess or throw in a zinger or two. Moving along. Here's another blue spot just to help you think cool. This may be one of Jim's, easiest rail fanning hot spots to I.D.. And now to all of our readership thanks for giving us a read...your subscriptions, cards and letters are always appreciated. cute: Where is Jim157 - RailImages.com
Hmmm. Taking the previous information and now that you have described Wisconsin eating, I'd have to say Dubuque, Iowa. Boxcab E50
We Have A Winner! We have a winner. If only we had a prize. Way to go! FYI, The CN units if you look closely are marked GTW, just below the cab window.
Getting back to unfinished business. file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/HP_Owner/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.png Well, that didn't work. Let me think. Naw, that's too hard. Ok, I got's an idea. 1. One of the pic's, Jim took is located just west of Palm Springs, Ca. on the old SP. Can you tell me which one? 2. Then we have one of UP Lemon Drops on the Oregon Trail. 3. And, one of his other pic's was taken north of Las Vegas, Ca. Bring the photo forward. We should be done with the unfinished business all in favor say....I. We have one nay, he said the last photo is still in contest. Right he is.
on that last pic u posted, its not in Idaho but, in the cowboy state around the I-80 tunnel was working towards my favorite spot in Idaho. Good luck and tomorrow time to deliever in the Beehive state and head north for the house. Have contractors to deal with time for new doors and windows, maybe some time on the layout.
One from me, time to mull it over.... Sorry about the slant some days not enough time 2 get the shot.
No clues for this one. Someone out there is bound to know where this is. Where is Jim157 - RailImages.com
I think I can get into the caboose for pics if u want them. Oh well the other pic is WMAX but its around a cheese factory, the clue on the caboose look at profile and there u will find answer. BTW thanks Rick for the package them darn lazy rail workers i have will now have some work to do. Time to enjoy the simple pleasure of life.
Your welcome. There isn't much in of anything in it. If you can use anything there...great! Pic's from inside the old hack would be just fine.
I can remember them darn old cabooses from when i was little. Those were the days when the conductors would show u about the train runnin over the penny and were nice. Now well all we have is FREDS....... Brings back the days of climbing on the railcars before they shortned the ladders. Opps have I implicated myself once again.
OOPS I believe that the statute of limitations ran out last week for your trangressions. I know big words, but I think you are OK Jim. As for the UP caboose, I would guess in Idaho. Only been their once, in Boise and the white water rafting in Hell's Canyon, BEAUTIFUL country. Keep up the pics. enjoying them.
Very good on the caboose it is in a park down the road from the house. One side no graffitti but the other well u get the pic. Yep, I run up the 95 to Lewiston not fun in the winter or summer for a big truck. Hope that u went up that way and found the old Up line that goes down the moutian from Grangeville to Lewiston alot of wooden trestles and tunnels to look at. No more snitchin on myself or I will have to claim the 5th. Dont need the black helicopters and the Feds snooping around here. As Sergent Schultz once said "I know nothing":tb-biggrin:
