Jim is a truck driver and as such gets around the country. His opportunities to rail fan and share the photos have been a boon to me. I thought you might like to get in on all the fun and action. At time he keeps me guessing as to the location so how about helping me out.

See, there this old dog can hunt.

    Enjoy!

His profile shows him as being logged in late last night.

    Huunh?

    And?

I have his permission to post here and yes he does log in from his truck. He did get after me for not posting his pictures so, here we are. I figured as long as he was sharing them with me let's see how much fun we could have and all get to enjoy them. He keeps me guessing as to where the pictures are taken. Some are obvious and others stump me.

I hope to turn this into a progressive thread of "Where is it," "Wherezit" or better said where is Jim, when he took the shot.

Count yourself in or out and let's have some fun.

    :peek:

    Utah

That shot was taken on Southbound I-15 in Murray, UT, just as he was passing the 7200 South overpass.

Hi Jim- No problem which person posts. You've been quiet for a while, and having seen your log-in last evening, I was wondering if you were having troubles which we could help get fixed.

    Jim,

I don't own the thread. Charlie aka E-8 wouldn't let me buy it. Grin!

So, it's anything goes. Let's just say I got it started.

Good to see you posting here...at least you know how to get the picture up front.

    So, where's Jim? I'l give you a hint...on a mountain pass.

Jim, feel free to add your pictures here anytime.

Nothing like seeing America and Rail Fanning from the cab of a truck.

Ajmott, Hello, you still out there?

Can you tell us about the locomotives in the picture...the blue ones? Are those flames painted on the tail end? Just curious.

The Utah Railway I have no problem with.

I think that Rick wanted this to be more like "Where's Waldo" not "Has anyone heard from Waldo." (Rick, if I got this wrong let me know)

Sounds like it is a good little game. Since I'm not familiar with the west or much of any other part of the country it will be a major challenge for me, but still, it will be interesting seeing the different locations that Jim is taking photos at.

ajmott has already identified the first location on the first try:thumbs_up:.

    Let the photos rain.

Gary, yep that be kind of the idea behind it all. But a whole lot more fun with Jim, along with the locations and trains he shots. Here we aren't looking for Jim, as he is the one shooting through the window of his truck cab. He's behind the camera. It's up to us to guess.."Where Is He? Time to I.D. the location. This should be real interesting, never mind the fun we can have...

Hope you can catch some NS along the ex Kentucky Division from St. Louis to Louisville and even some on the CNOTP. Those are my old stomping grounds.

The last time I visited the Durango and Silverton Narrow Qauge railroad all the box cars still wore the Rio Grande lettering and worn out paint. The building in the background is new to me. Humm, almost 20 years ago...my last visit. Can that be right? You had me going on this one. Got me good.

    Where is Jim157 - RailImages.com[IMG]

Well how about that? Ok, since I managed to figure out how to post a picture here...let's add this photo to Wherezit?

Look closely there is a clue if not out right give away. No Jim isn't anywhere near this location...today.

Now to remember, how I managed to copy the picture to this post. Let's see I fed all the cat's, ran off a skunk, put food out for the raccoons and then took off the URL on each end of the web address. Must be the skunk I chased off that made it work. Grin!
