Missouri Pacific Steam?! Anyone have Missouri Pacific Steam?! Show it! Too much modern MOPAC stuff, let's show'em what came before diesel dominance! I'll post pictures tommorrow! :embarassed:
George: like these? Matthew: look forward to seeing some steam. I think I could be talked into it IF I could get a Texan for less than the price of a car. Jay: Welcome aboard. If you need any help with the pictures, let me or Paul know. Great to have another fan around!
Yes I have painted a few as has Mitch Here is a shot of the two I painted, this is the actual pic from NSR magazine Jay, Welcome to Trainboard, if you need any assistance feel free to message me, it's always great to see MoPac modellers here, I look forward to seeing some of your work.
Here's Steam! The only steam I have, a Spectrum Consolidation: Sorry for the bad lighting, have only a center-of-the-room ceiling fan, and the light outside wasn't bright enough.

Jay, just copy the url from the box that say "UBB Code", and paste it into your "Reply" box. Then when you hit "post", the image will appear in your post. Hope that helps!
They're Grrrreeeaat! BTW Jay, your MOPAC equipment looks great! Do you have any overall layout pictures, and what area are you modeling? :shade:
Yeah,I've got some layout pictures coming soon. Not sure why,but I model the southeast Missouri area and do some "protolancing" with my own railroad, The Missouri & Ohio.It is a bridge route moving cars from the Mopac and Frisco at Delta ,Missouri to the B&O connection at Salem ,Illinois. My layout has a small lead smelter,an Exide car battery plant and some other goodies.
GP35,Custom paint and details by me Here is a shot of my Atlas GP35 that started as a swap meet buy ($35)in Montana Rail Link Paint.Custom painted and detailed by myself,it's one of my favorite parts of the hobby.:shade:
here is a unit i just finished for the galesburg show, chop job from a snoot and a sd50 nose. unfortunately the blue came out yellow and gray
Great looking unit!I especially love the weathering job. What weathering technique do you use? Mineral Spirits (the cheaper the better) and oil artists paints is one of my favorites.
