Description is singular, but picture shows five brass SP tank car(s). Think I could argue that I thought I was getting all five?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pecos-River...442937?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item19e1adc039
Here's a sell job. Another Arnold GP-30 but talk about selling it: 'You are looking at a GERMAN made diesel in an American roadname.'. 'made in Germany'. 'The gears on the trucks are BRASS--NICE!'. 'The unit is very clean. The box is a little worn--it has scratches, but it is the hard case version' (I guess the hard case version is more desirable). 'This unit comes with the traditional N scale Rapido style coupler installed'. 'Low open and no reserve'. Still, $40+SH http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arnold-Rapi...984419?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item48597c9de3
Only $6, but what a trainwreck...'weathered'? Really? http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-TRIX-35-E...502286?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item35ca31684e
Should be selling this sixty bucks, ha ha. Like too many others of similar condition we have seen lately.
goodness! I suppose if it looks like crap we can just add "weathered" to the description and we're good to go! Slowly, I am learning the tricks of the auction trade
This one's a real peach! http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Atl...979014?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item20d7882bc6 Wouldn't be too bad a price if it was one of the newer Atlas locos and not actually a GP30 from the '70's. But it will be shipped in a "special locomotive box" From the description: You Are Bidding on: A++ Condition Atlas GP 38 Burlington Route Locomotive Engine. Locomotive is a 8 wheel drive for true power in a miniature Locomotive! (SEE PICTURES coming soon) Will be Shipped in the wrapped in bubble wrap inside a SPECIAL Locomotive Box for its protection! There is no better than us, when it comes to shipping Model Railroads!!! We are the #1 Professional when it comes to shipping Model Railroads all over the USA!!!
Yes, and HAIL TO THEE, OH VULCAN LADY! :cute: Just a general comment brought to mind - I love how she posts 3 pictures of the loco - all from the same general front 3/4 aspect. I know personally if I sell something, I will post a pic of EVERY view: top, bottom, front, rear, both sides, angle shots from all 4 corners .... and a close-up or two if there is some particular deatil or defect that should be shown. Hey, ebay lets you post 12 pics, and digital is basically free, so why not? It's a "what you see is what you get" thing for me.
Also from vulcan lady... http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Bac...579173?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item20d7544b25 Oddest looking 0-6-0...actually odd looking N scale loco
Another fine offering from the Vulcanlady..................http://www.ebay.com/itm/Athearn-HO-...242035?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item20d76daab3 With her high price for such a fine loco and her low shipping price of $9.65, I hope she holds onto this one for a long time. After all, she says that she would be happy to have it if it doesn't sell.hboy: It would make a great addition to her "Northwest Railroad" layout! It's people like this that make Ebay a potential trap for friends or family who might try to buy a gift for a hobbyist based on a ridiculous description like this. Too bad that they can't be banned as gypsters or con artists.
Here is another one that she actually sold. http://tinyurl.com/p78yxmp She didn't even know what scale it was and somebody bought it.
