How about this one? Looks like it has a fair amount of Playdough and some thick paint, not to mention roller bearing trucks on an "old" piece of equipment. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-CB-...965774?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43bf0ad04e
Another one to add to the list..........................http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Arn...486764?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item56599a86ec This is listed as "Good" condition, despite missing handrails and broken steps, some of which are completely broken off. I love this description, "It does go both forward and reverse but it runs slow if there is a light is does not work." I had one of these as my first introduction into N scale back in 1970. It was a piece of crap then and I don't think crap ages as well as a fine wine. I can't believe that someone would have the nerve to call something such as this as "Good Condition". I hate to think how bad it would have to be to receive a "Poor Condition" rating. Just how bad does an item have to be before it is just thrown in the trash instead of being offered for sale on Ebay?
You guys don't know anything..Can't you see? Each car is numbered..[Checks to see if tongue is still firmly planted in cheek..] I hate Craig's list.First time I tried to sell something, had a Harley frame for $450.00.guy sends me a check for $4500.00!! Tells me it was a mistake, says just cash the check, keep $500.00,and a "courier"[guy in a van]will come to pick up the frame and the money..I told him if the guy showed up,he's end up tied up in my cellar, with a gun in his mouth..No,never showed up..One of my dogs died a few weeks ago, looking for a Pitt pup.Saw on on Craigs List, says"small rehoming fee"..Drove 30 miles to get it,"small" fee is $500.00..
I have a lot I am thinking of offering just to test that question. But since I am going to be out and away for 3 days, I am waiting until after I return so I can be a responsible ebay seller and be available to answer questions and be ready to ship when someone bites.... err- bids, I mean.
ebay- The world's largest recycling bin. Don't send it to the land fill/garbage dump, sell it! If we looked carefully enough, we might find empty milk cartons, egg shells, candy wrappers, used paper towels, etc, etc, all up for bid....
In N scale? I wonder if I could use authentic N scale empty milk cartons and candy wrappers as detailed scale litter? I can probably make the scale egg shells and used paper towles on my own.
KLA I am at a point to think that if I could dream up some weird crap, there would be someone gullible enough to purchase it. Has to be a high price however, nothing cheap don'tcha know Carl
The 1:1 scale stuff! Complete with free odors of spoiling trash. I just found an old sock the dog chewed up. Maybe that would sell as a 'lightly used original classic canine play toy'....
Incredible custom built detail... http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Cus...112840?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item20c1026408 Move fast, there are 3 watchers.
"as some of you know by now we are known for short line cabooses. more than any other painter in the country. so as we keep our offerings coming along we hope you can find one you like." Right. I was highly impressed immediately upon seeing the strict adherence to nmra coupler height. Then I noticed the mirrored glass in the windows to deflect the bright sun off the snow. Gotta be worth the asking, right?
I looked at some of the cabooses. Several had black roof paint which seemed to have crept over onto a carbody side. Like a brush stroke that went a bit too far, or masking wasn't quite as needed.
