N Scale, DCC, SD70ACe
I used speaker terminals as an easy way to tap into the DCC bus.
Install light board over decoder, run wires as shown, spread away from rear LED so the shell / lightpipe will fit normally, cut 4 remaining wires...
Insulate frame / decoder with Kapton, cut motor wires to length, then solder to motor tabs
De-solder motor wires then re-solder them to decoder facing forward, de-solder blue wire and discard.
Buzz the LED's to verify they light
Re-solder the 1.2K resistors to the negative lead of the LED's
De-solder all parts from this side
With Digitrax DN163A3 Decoder
I had problem keeping these in contact with the decoder. So I soldered a blob to the decoder motor contacts.
