So at some point placing an order for some Osborn kits for water, Beaver float plane, maybe a dock, some fishing boats, etc... I like their kits as I have 2 airplane kits I built from them. And they are so tiny too. Might order some more wheel based GA aircraft too again. Who knows when though. I have the Piper Cub and Cessna, and their picnic tables :) Thinking about getting the Lobster boat too and have no idea why :)

    Maybe?

Test pour with the JTT Realistic Water. I poured too much and it over flowed, wet spot on grass mat :) I think I like it? More test coming. Second picture is the flash, it looks fine. Used flash on both pictures. Need to add some scenery later, maybe after another 12 hours, see how it looks :) Never used anything like this before. Wait I used a cheap blue color one years ago. Really tiny bottle. It did not work.

Me thinks I like it, not sure yet! More testing needed!

Yeah I don't see all that without the camera flash, looks fine normal viewing. Might be the white glue still drying? I think it is the flash though.

2mm black foam underneath the pour.

Think this works better for your layout. Pretty nice outcome using the JTT Realistic water.

I like options, it's actually already hard it appears. Checked with a tooth pick. Must be cause it's such a small pour? I'll try to add some other scenery stuff and see how it looks. I kind of suck at this stuff, but I am having fun though. I need some boats, docks, and float planes, etc... bad :) Going to try and make a cheap dock, try. Just for mock up.

Definitely looks like fun to do. Saw the Osborne kits above. They would look good on the water..

And scene... why Jersey Barriers...why not :) Somebody dropped their ice cream cone bought from the truck, and the cow is eating it :) Big arse trees cut down and by the pond. Two traffic cones fell in pond, ( or did they throw them ) one standing, one not. Those aren't canoe paddles, they are fishing poles :) Imagination people...

This is how I see the scene.

Hey @freddy_fo do I need to mount the Illuminators where I have access to them in the future? That is side of the base where I have access? Like for a reset or something?

I've never had to reset but sometimes I want to re-program so enough access to reach and press that button is advised. All mine are mounted on the underside of my table and to reach them I have to put the layout on it's side (it's in a coffee table) to locate and reach the illuminator.

Then I will ty and mount them on the side of my base for easy access, If I can? And when I do mount them, or try too.
    Thanks!

I'm sure people here already knew how to access the frame and trucks on a Kato SD70ACe, I was not one of them :) Said locomotive might have flown off the layout, thus needing to access the trucks and frame. Not saying that's what happened... :)

Do I like CSX... Yes :) Got a few new/old CSX cars from a member here, still working on intermodel one with white CSX containers. Coil car is cool. Have another set of Kato CSX Maxi's same color.

Found a LED Christmas train I did not know existed. Pretty cool, even though a few LED's don't work on one of the cars :)

I'm not the Replace the LED type person really. I am going to quickly look and see IF I can get access, but doubt it. Hey I didn't even know I had it :) So I can deal with them being out. Now to remember it at Christmas time this year :) That's the key :)

Did the old 1950's tube tv thing and lightly tapped it to to try and get it to work, a no go :)

"the 1950's tube thing" usually worked like unplugging and plugging the vacuum tubes into their sockets, restoring connectivity and function.

Sometimes, if there are socketed ICs or connectors that can be jarred to restore connectivity, it still works. But IC sockets are rare anymore, and connectors have much better contacts, rendering failures there less likely.

Turn's out, they got invisible smoke now, called electrostatic, that can get discharged, and it won't work no more neither.

This is the idea for the paper shades. Have some new ones somewhere that I can cut to the correct length's and did not think about securing to my 2' x 4' table :) When/if done will focus your eyes on the layout instead of the stuff under it :) And don't need to move my NCE port, yet! Wonder why it took me so long to figure this out? Thanks @country joe for the inspiration :) BTW, my room is dark most of the time and the LED light's over the layout focus your eye's on the layout. Hard to take a picture of what it looks like for real :) Gonna be awesome when I install the Just Plug street lights and traffic lights back on the layout.

Need to clean up some wires in the future. One day that is :) Sometimes things are so simple, but you over think them :) At least I do.
