I recieved mine and if anyone wants these, they are VERY well done! Fantastic job guys! I will be posting photos as soon as I get some on my locomotives.
I got the rest of the sheets from John today. I will try to get them mailed out Saturday morning. They look VERY good. I think he is getting the hang of this printing stuff,
Number 30 is the original Sierra Railway locomotive to wear the star on the front of the smoke box. Once this side dries, I will do the front and post pictures.
Jerry, Thanks for posting the pictures of Gus's special. The builder plates plates and number plates turned out very well. Also Chris's 2-6-2 is about the perfect model to represent #30 and the front really looks great! I can't wait till mine show up. I did recycle some CDR files to make this sheet. The builder plate you used is really for V&T #22, but you can't read it anyhow.
Jerry... the white detail line looks splotchy. Is that just the light or is it actually lacking opacity? Maybe I should have done a third pass with white. I'm MORE than happy to do that if this is the case. Don't seal this until you are happy with it!!! Despite this issue....you made my WEEK by posting pictures! This is a WONDERFUL example of where modelers with differing skills come together to make a project that has a successful outcome. THIS is why I got into modeling in the first place. THIS is why I like the N-scale community better than the HO-scale community. :tb-biggrin:
The decals are fine! The detail lines are the originals that were already on the model. Once I weather the new lettering and numbers it should all blend in perfectly! Original paint job....
Wow! The original lines where made to look like that. I decaled them and then drybrushed grimey black over them to get that look. Course back then I didn't know Jerry was gonna shine her all up :eh-cool:
That's really cool Jerry. I don't know if you Sierra fans saw this on Railpictures.net earlier this week - http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=248209&nseq=0
