Ok, so pop quiz's don't work. Heck I never much cared for them as a kid in school so that's probably the wrong approach, any old way.

I posted this on another thread but it would almost work to tie this in here as well. You see as a kid, vacationing in the magical kingdom and while camping out next door to the berry farm, I ended up with some lasting impressions or better said mis-information. I thought it was...well...I don't need to open mouth and make a fool out of myself. I heard that "To late".

    Enjoy Knott's Berry Farm as hosted by Toy Man Television;

Is it not a coincidence that there is a Walter and Walt, involved in the last three videos.
Walther Knott's and Walt Disney. How could Southern California get so lucky?

One thing I and I suspect you, who are tuned in here and following along like silent movie stars. The one thing we have in common with Walter Knott's and Walt Disney, Ward Kimball and other's is we are model railroaders, who know how to railfan.

So, to bring things back to our expression and love of the hobby, the tin shed model railroad that we enjoy. A sort of reality check.

Here is a video Josta, aka John A., took of my layout almost two years ago. It was just before Christmas, I wanted something different running around the layout and I made up a number of Christmas Rush Mail Express trains. Enjoy.

Now don't be nit-picking me for the lack of scenery. That will be this summers project.
    Unless you want to.

I know boycott Rick week. Well, hell's bells I don't need to be the only one having fun here. Throw in your videos and commentary here. Let's RAILFAN your model railroad.

Rick, I liked this video of the H&P so much that it's part of the video loop that we play on the overhead screen during Operations Night. Good scale speed for both trains, too. Damn, that's a LOT of cars!!!

    Josta,

You have a super camera to shoot all those cars with. Your video turned out excellent.

I'm cringing a little at the proximity of that drop off by track's edge. With my luck, and it has happened more than once, I'd have skydiving equipment. Eeek.

The throttle in the hands of some inexperienced person and yes it's happened. Plans are being made to place a type of guard rail up along the edge. To prevent would be train drivers uhh...err... hoggers from becoming member's of the flying diesel corps. One of the reasons I insist on scale speed. Slow, we don't race trains we run them slowly. Crash, bang, thunk, splat grrrr and other expletives we can't use here. Ok who's the wise guy?

In light of the history surrounding Walt Disney. Here's a video I found of the Los Angeles Live Steamers. Caution, someone voted in a proposition CW50DS allowing members to operate diseasels (spelling intended).

Here is a group that still operates only steam.

Here is one outdoor railroad that you may have missed. Located in Joshua Tree, Ca. I spent a number of years working for a local funeral home out of Yucca Valley, Ca. I and a good friend, worked hard and put many uncompensated hours in for the company and was never once acknowledged for our efforts and hard work. My boss at the time would rather go golfing then work...true. All water under the bridge and it don't much matter anymore.

Here is a surprise from Joshua Tree, Ca.

    Yes, they allow diseasels.

To those of you tuning in and if my figures are correct that's approximately 60 of you. Thanks for hanging in here with us but do feel free to toss in your railfanning videos, of your model railroads. That's what we be all about here.

One more and then I have to get to work on my own layout.

As we rail fan the next layout. You tell me, whether or not you can see some John Allen, influence in Steve H's, model railroad. A slideshow just for you.

Warmer weather has finally arrived to this mountain top and it's time for me to work on my layout. Last I heard John, Steve, Stubby, Greg, Jim, Russ, Owen and I, all members of the Bear Valley Model Railroaders, will be busy working on our model railroads. We have everything from my N scale in a tin shed train layout to some amazing garden railways.

You can share in the fun by railfanning them. Or allow us to railfan your layouts. Submit a video...it's that easy.

Now where did that battery go I had for my Dremel tool? Worse yet where did the charger go?

You might remember Ward Kimball and wonder where is everything he owned, now? Toy Man Television, answers that question.

I'm sure by now you've caught on that I love railroading and that I don't care what size it comes in, all though the focus here is on model railroading. I'm not the only one. There are those who enjoy it and take it to the extreme.

This next video, after you wade through the announcements and one public message finally gets down to an interview with Ward Kimball. Here you will get to see his narrow gauge railroad and hear in his own words...well...check it out.

The more I learn about the early "Model Railroaders" the more I respect them.

Here's another video highlighting Ward Kimballs interest in trains.

Perhaps a deviation from the norm is needed.

Robert and our Lion Hearted might like this video.

American Gringo's and Wide Brims aren't the only ones that know how to railfan their model railroads.

Did you like that? I thought you might.

For a second or two I thought...the video didn't load...perhaps the Puritans had landed, again!:uhoh:

Let's see we've covered Toy Trains, Back Yard Narrow Gauge, Live Steamers and Diesel's permitted, Disney Land Railroad, Knott's Berry Farm R&R, Josta's Green Screen, my mail trains, a European Model Railroad with some deviant behavior (Did I say that?) and a whole lot of "Screwing Around" as interpreted by Toy Man Television.

How about something for, ok I'm trying to think of a way to say this. I will let the video speak for itself.

Thinking we need some Club Layouts represented here. After doing a search I bumped into this video.

Who said only the one to the one foot scale can have the long trains?

Is it safe to say this is serious model railroading and the guy or gal behind the camera is a serious rail fan?

That's it from me for awhile. It's your turn to railfan a model railroad and share your video's... if you dare!

    Signing off for now.

Ok, I lied. Here's one more. Feel free to railfan this video and other's I've shared here.

Remember back to the Disney video's provided by Toy Man Television. Chad O'Connor was one of those mentioned along with a camera mount he built. These guys enjoyed building trains as well as all the work they did for Walt Disney. Perhaps this should be placed in the one to the one foot scale forum but it just seems to fit in right here and right about now. Mainly because I just found it.

However, from here on out feel free to hi-jack this thread as if you need my permission. Feel free to make it your own by submitting your favorite videos. I can assure you I will check back in to share in the fun you bring to this thread. If you dare!:uhoh:

I'm sure this has already struck you. The one thing these video's keep saying to me is we are in the company of some very fine gentlemen and ladies. We share in common a love for model railroading, the one to the one foot scale and railfanning our own work.

Now, I need to research some purchases for my model railroad and get it back into operating shape. I will report back with progress made and perhaps I can talk John A. into coming over and making another video before the summer is over. Got's to get some scenery in.

    John,

Thanks and I'll take you up on the Hydrocal. Got a big party going on next door and some real fine neighbors throwing it. Nothing like a Mexican barbecue, you don't ever want to say no, better then anything I can buy downtown. He turns 65 today and I will trail along in September. Yes, this year!

Now back to work on the H&PRR.

If you can't get any ideas from railfanning this O scale layout...I give up.

Toy Man Television is at it again.
