Build a diorama, it's basically all I have at this point. An angry lash-up of SP grunts gets a hot intermodal on its way up the grade at sunset: [ 07. February 2005, 07:24: Message edited by: Fluid Dynamics ]
FD,you sure you didn't have little ten & big ten (DRGW Col.)in mind when you built this diorama/layout?Nice shots.
Lol, thanks. I saw the big ten curve for the first time when Hemi posted his moffat route railfan pics. It looked eerily similar to the cuesta pass, and to a couple spots on this hulk I've been putting together.
Lol, it's all part of a plan. The curve in the pic is the entry to the left of the yard. I've got most of the left wing built now, and am working on laying track.
Ah, How much space would a curve of such size take up? If I can fit it in my space im gonna steal that idea. I love big curves like that.
here's a meager offering. pics didn't turn out as well as i would have like, lighting isn't the best for pictures. a wild lashup patch meets unpatched
Great looking lashup's guys, Brian, Your layout looks superb and makes me green with envy with those long sweeping curves. Scott, Your images are always so crisp and realistic. Beast, Great looking weathering on the Sant Fe loco.
Colonel, Thanks. Looked at a few proto pics of GP38s, got the airbrush and dull coat and went from there. Of course this is a GP40 which I think Santa Fe only had one of for a short time, but oh well. Fun practice!!! beast
