Those Husky's look nice. Otto, that is a great shot. I love the drama created by the angle and the landscape, and I would love to come over more often. Guys and Gals I just have to say that as often as I have the privilege to drive through Cajon Pass I must point out that Otto's scenery captures the area quite well. The rock formations he has created represent the area convincingly. YUM!
The Grandure Falcon The Grandure Falcon pauses at "First Hill" just outside of "Old Grandure City" as it prepares to leave for points unknown:
Red Bluff Action Here’s the “Lost Coast Limited” embarking passengers at Red Bluff before it begins its climb over the Trinity Alps to its final destination in Eureka. Meanwhile a California Northern local sits on the siding waiting its turn to service the many industries located in the “Walther’s Industrial Park”.
Here is a link to a video of a train on my main line, it is a little rough as the wife took it, however some of it is good http://s1011.photobucket.com/albums/af240/Boiler-man/?action=view¤t=VID00116.mp4
Three GP9s leave the mainline for a little switching. Unrebuilt SP2878 with four stack manifold is followed by two GP9Es.
what's on my mainline ? dust, tools, dust, styrene pieces, dust, pens, dust, cutters, dust, tweezers, dust, and lots of other things. in the meantime waiting in the yard are : - "the canadian"... 3 via f40ph and a repainted 11-car zephyr set - a coal train... 1 ac4400cw , 1 es44ac on the point, 45 coal cars, 1 as4400cw (dpu), 32 coal cars - a manifest train... 1 cp rail sd40-2, 1 cp rail redbarn, 1 cefx sd40-2, procor tank cars, stack cars, boxcars, centerbeams
I heard that, Sandro. Actually 90% of my mainline is covered with masking tape to keep scenery crud off of it. Only about 16" of main is ballasted and open, which this photo doesn't show.
Hemi, nice picture, no guesses as to where that is, nice job:thumbs_up: The East Dearfield shops has some foreign power coming into the shops. These two Ex Reading units, a GP40-2 and a GP35, are coming in for a contract with Conrail. Just a patch job right now, along with with new numbers. The work order says there are three more units Conrail needs after these. This is part of a weathering and patch job I'm doing for fellow TB member nscalerone. Finally got the paint this past week. Maybe I'll start a thread on patches.
Well, as this is the only track secured to any benchwork-like thing around here, it's about as mainline as it gets... That's an RSD15 and the little 59-tonner (that was made from my other RSD15). This is going to be made into a little diorama for outside photography use.
