It is for me, as well. I thought it was me and the sketchy internet service I'm having to use right now.
It is a problem that periodically shows up. Sometimes it goes away on its own and other times one of the staff with the correct permissions is able to reboot the system. The site operating system really needs to be upgraded however that has not happened. But that is another story that I don't have much information about.
I don't know much about Website Security Certificates, but I'm glad that TrainBoard's is kept current. These are an important element in website security and it seems that a site with an expired Certificate can bring opportunities for criminals to attack website visitors. My internet security software blocks access to these and it's surprising how many are out there.
And today, TB is running along at what I would call "normal" speed. Pages don't take long to load, no spinning beach balls of death, and everything is displayed properly.
Sloooooow again . Lefthand corner a message tells me computer wants a TLS-handshake...(what's that? is that how members of a secret modelrailroad society exchange greetings amongst each other...?? ) Wish someone would fix it. Love TB. Matt
Hi all, since two days Bitdefender warns me for visiting trainboard.com: "certificates not available or transpired", warning for risks when visiting. Is this is fixable, dear folks - moderators? Thanks, Matt
It's like those people who assume a doctor or a taxi driver suddenly forgets everything his decades of experience has taught him because he forgot to renew his license. And we have this brainlessly persistent computer nagging us about it at every step. "Are you sure it's safe to talk about model trains...?" All hail the "modern inconveniences", as Mark Twain called them...
At one time, life was harder, but simpler. Now, life is easier, but a heck of a lot more complicated. Especially when computers, bureaucrats, lawyers or politicians get mixed in with the lot. One big hot mess...
ok, I have been away for a month or so, it has been a rough time for me. I installed a new, free 90 day SSL cert...
Kinda' loading slow again, taking a bit for responses.... Even clicking the "Like" button takes 30 seconds to clear!
