Why is the locomotive called a "cabbage"? I've never heard that term before.

Rail fans come up with strange names to call things. Maybe on the bidirectional Talgo trains, they have a non powered "cab" at one end of the train called a cabbage?

OK, I remember now. Amtrak converted some of its old F40PHs to non powered cab units. They removed the prime movers and installed a baggage compartment. Thus cab/baggage or cabbage for short.
