BR Mk1 coach - BR's 'standard' 1950's coach design. This is an FO (First Open - First class, open saloon) and it's part of a charter rake. No Mk1 hauled coaches are in 'main line' use by franchised operators, but they are common in charter use and on preserved railways.

I like to archive cars we have ridden. This is the Dover Harbor which once ran on the NY Central. Shot in 1993 during a backup for a runby on the New River trip. This car is great to ride, a heavyweight six wheel bogeyed smoothy. Operated by the Washington DC chapter NRHS.
The #1 was running late. The 7AM arrival in LA was pushed to mid afternoon. What to do about all the connecting passengers? Put them on busses in Palm Springs to chase down their trains.
