Lets see your passenger trains! Whether they are Amtrak NEC bullets, Amtrak transcon trains, luxury domeliners, tourist outfit trains, or anything in between, let's see some varnish! The Ski Train, resplendent in D&RGW colors, barrels thru Blue Mtn. Road's crossing, 20 miles from Denver:

A friend and I had been back-packing along the continental divide and hiked down to the wye at Elk Park. We were waiting to flag a train back to Durango but it was morning and the two trains were still heading up to Silverton. So I climbed up the mountain a bit for a shot or two. A few days earlier we had got off the train at Needleton and headed up to the divide.
Where was that shot? That's one tight curve.. Cajon? Raton Pass? Check the trailing Amtrak F59 (??).... Here's a tight one--15* on the old D&RGW in Byer's Canyon on Amtrak #6 eastbound:
At one time this was a Nickle Plate Road diner. Some friends in Roanoke, VA picked it up at auction when NS dumped their MOW crew cars. I believe the Nickle Plate Historical Society traded them another car for it.
Amtrak, crossing over Hwy 72, entrance to Coal Creek Canyon. Locomotives: Couple of private cars on the rear, Arizona and St. Paul Pass - IF memory serves me right!
