I've got plenty of that from my sons "pet". Trust me, that stuff aint' gunna' help traction one bit!!
    :tb-shocked::tb-shocked::tb-biggrin:

Ya' know, this stuff could be a real breakthrough in exceeding the standard 2% grade limitation. I'm anxiously awaiting some testing data that shows it dosen't gunk up the rail heads (my big concern) or take away from the electrical contact from the remaining pickup wheels. If so, it seems worth the price in my opinion.

Well, I tried to order a jar, but, I only use PayPal. When the stupid Amazon site wanted my credit card AND driver lisense, I decided that was too much info to send over a public network.

List some on Ebay with a "buy it now" and I'll order a jar to try.

I run "G" scale.... Do you sell larger jars? :^)

I also run HO and N,
When I get a jar on order, could you throw a few samples in my package so I can pass them on to my local club members?

"We all will know how good it is soon enough . There is no rush , if its good we will all use it , if not we will know that too . I will give him the respect he deserves by not doing a public hanging . He offers a product that if good we want . Nobody is forcing you to spend a dime . Let time and testing prove its worth."

Richie- Cogent and accurate. I will also post results.

I actually saw some on eBay Buy It Now yesterday. I didn't bother to post on here though because it was ending very soon and what good would that have done? Anyway, not sure if it was the guy who has posted here or someone else. Search for 'completed listings' on eBay if there are no current ones to find the seller. It was $24.95 if I recall correctly.

Bullfrog Snot is just a clever marketing name, like Two Buck Chuck, which is Three Buck Chuck here in Albuquerque and Four Buck Chuck in Cincinnati. Let's see how it works from our reviewers. I have plenty of steamers who could use it, if it works.

I'm not in a place that has many bullfrogs, so I don't know how sticky their snot is--I suppose it's sticky. I have lived in places where I was slimed by creatures, and can attest that they were very slimey indeed. We don't want slimey on our rails, do we? Nor do we want Black Lab drool! Man, does that ruin a good pair of pants, especially if you've only packed one. So why do we say pair of pants?

You best not tell BarstowRick about this. I'd hate to be around when he reacts to this...grin!
Confounded, irritating, degrading, more trouble then they are worth, scourge of ALL model railroading..the infamous, disgusting, curse of the dratted traction tires.

Actually the whole idea of Froggy Snot sounds good to these ears. Here is something that bonds to the driver and the only way it's coming off is to be worn off. Me likes the thought and idea.

If it works...I approve. Now, I need a sample. Rick Howland, P.O. Box 2597, Big Bear City, CA 92314. :)

This is got to be good news.

I did try going down to the lake and found a couple of frogs. I tried to get them to blow their nose and all they would say is "Bud", "Bud"...me thinks they've been put out to pasture and wanted me to file a grievance to see if they could get their old jobs back. Petty good singers and almost in tune. LOL

This is GOOD news for the model train industry. Maybe the racing industry and the real 1x1 foot scale locomotives. Hummmm...just where could this go... Nasa...rovers?

    Have fun!

Maybe I could use it to stick one of my five year olds to her chair long enough to get her to eat her dinner.

Residue? Track gunk? Not noticed any undue stalling a staggering. And I abused the stuff to try to kill it.

It will wear out, everything does.

The one ounce jar allows you a worry free re-tirement. The per application cost is pennies.

As an admin, let me congratulate you all for keeping this thread serious and hilarious at the same time. While we are not Consumer Reports, I think our testers are ready to try this out. I'm sure they are not drooling with anticipation, as drool is slimey.

Anyone here want to take three drooling Black Labs off my hands? What was I thinking when i agreed to babysit them? Three 100-lb dogs going in opposite directions? We walk past a retirement home, and the residents have a hoot watching me and the dogs.

Bill, a question. The eBay auction says use one or two drops.

There is a BIG difference in one drop and two drops when you are speaking of some things, say barbecuing meat. Two drops means your coals are much too hot. The point being is it possible to use too little or too much Bullfrog Snot?

Do you have another way to determine how much is too much? Or too little?

    Thanks,
    Ben

Shelf life of BULLFROG SNOT? Good question as this is the first actual 'production' batch. I sure hope it's a lot longer than Floquil.

Among the secret ingredients is a component with long shelf life, several years at least, and then the consistency begins to shift. But when you need a product that is one part - meaning no mixing (or more importantly mis-mixing) by the user - and room temp curing, by it's nature you can't leave sit around open. You'll note the jar has a seal in the lid.

And try not to get BULLFROG SNOT on the jar threads, or it will cure itself shut. Which is you you've been provided with a knurled grip area for your Channel-Locks.

Tried to cover all the bases.
