Ooooh, hurt me!!!! How could I forget the AC's!!!!! Nice pict! That'll teach me to investigate more thoroughly next time. Every diesel in my collection has four digits. I even have a C44-9W. But I forgot the AC's! Well, at least the police car was something different!
Now watch this folks- When number 1776 comes around, he'll post up something from the Texas-Mexican, or Florida East Coast. Just to get even with me. Boxcab E50 </font>[/QUOTE]Not a chance given this picture perfect shot for my Post #1776!!!!!!!
Well, my post count is a little past that of my Bicentennial loco, Milw 156. In fact, how did I get here? Guess I'd better be quiet for a while. Boxcab E50
Well, numbers are odd things. Here's one of my favorite locos, an RS3, this one happens to be #3 (also my favorite number!). San Manuel Railway/Magma/SMARRCO ran this on their mining line in south central Arizona, closing the line in 1999. The Alcos were sold off photo courtesy Ted Ellis from his excellent site Desert Rails, taken 1992. http://algomacentral.railfan.net/desert.htm I might try to model this some day, and already have some undec RS3s in the ready drawer. Hey Cammp! Welcome to Trainboard So you like Alcos huh? Here's a photo of the Yreka Westerns' 1953 Alco RS-1 being delivered in 2002. The little SW-8 is doing the honors of pushing the flat down into a trench for unloading the Alco.
You can also follow this link below to some more RS-3 engines that I might post here later once I get up into the 4,000+ range. ALCo Road Switcher RS-3 Roster
Those of us with little ones (post count, that is) have to look hard to post on this thread. Here's an old Shay dating back to 1905. It's on display at the CFE Museum in Mexico City. Unfortunately it faces west, so it's virtually impossible to get a nice shot of the gearing on the north side. Regards Ed

John, Your challenge for this topic is to find a photo of an engine, etc. that will match your next "Post Number" on this topic
Man, another 100 gone by. Good thing the NY Central had a lot of steam locomotives. This one from George Elwood's site, a Harold K. Vollrath photo. Mohawk 2901. I gotta find a 3000 soon. NYC 2901
