Wonder if these will qualify: OMLX 2959 OMLX 1451 Anyone know what it is, and where it came from? Couldn't get closer etc....for better shot. GMTX 2002 Anyone know what the unit is behind this one?
1451 is clearly ex-IC from the numbering style. Note the unusual angled cab; it's one of the Paducah rebuilds (SW14?) The Operation Lifesaver unit looks like an IAIS GP38/-2.
HCLX SD40-2 8172, ex-BN same no. An entire consist of rent-a-wrecks- two ex-BN deuces (I call 'em the Blue Deuces)- two Helm, one CEFX (the SP) and one LLPX (the SD20).
Meanwhile, back at the yard....... Three LLPX units- two ex-UP, one ex-Belt Railway of Chicago( and the trailing unit a GP40 convertedto a GP38-3), moving empty gons into Ray Yard for later movement to Stringtown, OK (on the track directly in front of this picture)
DLMX 644, originally built as ATK SDP40F 644, to ATSF (rebuilt as SD40F-2), to BNSF, sold to Doyle McCormack, currently leased to Portland & Western. South of Salem, OR CEFX SD40 3106 on the CSX, Cordele, GA HLCX SD40-2 7179 (ex-BN same no) at Mauk, GA, CSX Fitzgerald Sub but they're not ALL road engines! EconoRail SW9 (?) 7225 in service as switcher at ConAgra flour mill, Sherman, TX. operated by man on ground with remote-control pack, switches covered hoppers (loads in, empties & wheat midds out). Track in foreground is former MKT SD&D line from Denison to Sherman
EVERY SINGLE ONE of my shots of DGNO power are of rent-a-wrecks- they're either leased from Helm or LLPX.
Hey what railroad and what state was this pic taken in? I notice that indiana and ohio locomotive directly behind the 9373. I was curious what are the reporting marks on the I&O engine?
AAR reporting marks Hi, I looked thru all of these pictures and they are all great. This is indeed a kitbashers dream. If you ever wondered what these letters stand for, they are all AAR reporting marks which are registered, wonder what HLCX, ect stand for, visit this site here > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reporting_mark and click on the bule letter of the first letter of the reporting mark that you want to know what it stands for. Example, for HLCX leasing you would click on the letter H and scroll down the chart and find out it stands for Helm Leasing company also known as Helm financial. Have fun, there are tons of reporting marks for railroads there.
