40 car NPPX Bathtub train yellow ends and 6 green ends. Now to find the missing numbers that atlas did so there isn't much renumbering to do.

I just picked up some decodeers for my Kato F7A, F7B, and RDC. TCS KOD8-B AND KOD9-D FOR THE F7'S AND Digitrax DN143K2 for the RDC. The TCS decoders are very nice. Both F7's run better than new. Speed step one and they start to creep right along. The Digitrax was a bit more involved on the install, but it works. The decoder didn't fit quite right so I had to file a bit here and there to get it right. The main board is juust a little off in size. The lights were reversed when I fired it up, but that was a simple fix, change CV33 to 2 and CV34 to 1, done. It runs well also, although not at well as the F7's. All and al, I am pleased with my first decoder installs and purchases. Now I am discovering just how dirty my track really is. I have a Saint Bernard that is a hair bomb and sheds terribly. I have become an expert at locomotive hair removal.

    Have a good one all.

I just picked up two TCS decoders. A TCS CN and a TCS CN-GP, the first one for the older Atlas / Kato GP35 and the second for the Life-Like / Walthers GP38-2. Personally I feel the install was a lot easier than a hard wire. At this point I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think these two locomotives run better on DCC with these TCS decoders than they ran on DC. I'm sold on these TCS decoders and I might have to try a couple of their plug-n-play decoders for the Atlas split frame locomotives.

Got a lovely N-scale Atlas GP7 in Maine Central livery with factory DCC for $60 on that big auction site. The seller scheduled his auction to end at 7:00 a.m. Eastern time Sunday morning -- possibly the worst time you could choose if you are selling something. The early hour discourages last-minute bidders.

The loco runs fine and has joined my small fleet.

RE: TCS decoders. I have been pleased with the CN-GP's that I have installed, though I have not installed very many so far.

Bought the Kato E7 shinkansen. What a pretty train! It satisfies the 5 year old in me who wants to see the trains going fast.

I got these two guys for my new SMALL inter-modal unloading area. The trainworx piggy packer is a stunning model. The Kato truck took some work and paint.

Kato's lovely El Capitan car set + the additional add on cars (I will admit, this was purchased close to two years ago, but it is the latest thing I've bought in N).
