Fox Valley Models Canstock Cars I picked up a few of the FVM Canstock cars in Chessie paint. Nice models. I'm going to weather them and finished the first one.

My latest, Trainworx 28' UPS trailers. A triple set on a BLMA RTTX flatcar Trailers, with dollies Now, a couple quick questions: Is a UPS truck available, for hauling these trailers? Have they ever been transported, WITH dolly included?? Information much appreciated. Thanks.
HuskerN makes a Mack tractor in Shapeways. I've seen sets hauled of a single with dolly at the rear, and another truck with doubles. PA doesn't allow triple 28s on the road, but Ohio does, so at the border they would split up a set of triples to a single and a set of doubles. Also seen just the tractor pulling a dolly.
I've seen doubles in and out of town on occasion. I've seen triples on the interstate(s) when on vacation. I've seen at least one truck, with about 6 dollies in tow! Transported , with dolly, what I was wondering was, has a dolly been included with trailer, ON flatcar? Or do they not transport them that way? Highway only?
Ah, in that case, I'd say no. Most UPS sorting plants, well all the ones I've seen, are built fairly close to the intermodal yards. Want to say here in Spokane, that UPS picks up trailers as singles from the BNSF yard and haul them off to their sorting plant or vise versa back. Only need the dollies for over the road shipments. Not really sure why Pat included them in all of the trailers...not I got 12 with no real need for them...much like the Athearn 28' pups.
And I was thinking of contacting Pat @ Trainworx, to ask if dollies were available separate. I'd be interested in up to a dozen more! I'd be interested in a few more trailers as well, but..........I gotta be able to get 'em cheap!
B&O/Chessie GP38-2, and CSX patched CR SD50. Both Atlas products, and while they ARE for my birthday in August I got the SD50 out of the box and did a test run. WOW, that thing pulls well! Has LEDs too!
Got my 2nd Union Mills loco today! Very excited. These things are tiny, but still pull like champs and handle my stupid 4% grade. Can't believe what I pay for these. Has changed my spending ideas for North American stock.
That's a pretty sweet unit!! And I'm NOT one who really cares for steam!! But, can't complain though. I've got a few.
Yeah, I'm a diesel guy too, but these come so highly recommended that I had to get one. Now I've got two. I think they'll look fantastic on my future layout. They are strong pullers and smooth runners.
It's a strange feeling when you buy reference material, decals and paints at a show and you are happy because you didn't add another project to your long list of existing projects.
Technically the latest purchase would be the Q caboose, because it arrived after the IM F unit's I bought from a fellow TB member. but since I had the trio out, they'd might as well get a family photo because the caboose is assigned to the F units.
A nice, fresh, pair of Kato E8s (As) for the headend of the "Broadway Limited". Waiting on their arrival now Got a couple of Plano grills to dress 'em a bit.....still need lighting for all those cars (15). **next week maybe
Have scenery items to pick up Thursday night. Club offered chance to order scenery items from Scenic Express. Was able to take advantage of the 20% discount the club recieved. Saved me about $13 on the parts I ordered! May have been unnecessary purchase, but.......Savings was worth it!
Unnecessary purchase Keith? For shame, there is no such thing as an unnecessary purchase if it involves trains or tools. And add in a discount and it becomes mandatory. Nice score man. Trey
Yeah, unnecessary! As most folks know, I'm no longer working due to serious health issues. Have no income currently. So, I need to be careful with what I have left of a cashed out 401K. Hopefully, once the SSDI folks realize I'm appealing the denial of my benefits, and having a lawyer on my side, things will change quickly!! But, if I could take advantage of 15%, or even the 20% off, it does make it easier to swallow! Needed $500, for 20% discount. Ended up with just under $1800!! What really killed me, was the $5,100 I had to pay, within 6 months of quitting, for truck repairs! Oh well........Trains are minor! Just hope I can complete the Lowell Smith Freedom Train series.
