Blessings on Laura and You, my Friend, united yet equal. I'm sure you'll find Wi-Fi alloverhellangon in The City. However I advise to NOT stay in touch for your continued marital health...LOL
//Phew / sigh - Just back from the "morning after breakfast" which is where I posted from on my tablet earlier today. "T.H.E. Wife, her 2 daughters, and best friend have all gone shopping. Jelani, my now, 'step-grandson' and best buddy is laying down watching, Thomas, (Diesel Special Delivery). I have at least 90 minutes of peace and quiet all to myself. Between the wine, beer, and everything else I'm not sure how the car signing went but I'm told quite a few were collected. Tomorrow morning we leave for NYC via the 'Regional'. Plans include: Museum of Natural History - 5 minute walk from the hotel. Two art museums Central Park Zoo - and by extension Central Park Visit to Grand Central Station Visit to Fith Avenue - (rolls my eyes) Walk around Times Square Possibly the 9/11 memorial but I know I cannot handle that so we need to work something out. That is the short list. I'm sure there will be more.
Steve, have faith. As I remember the stores, restaurants, and paraphernalia along Fifth Avenue, it was quite an experience for flat-landers and other out-of-towners. Do not overlook F.A.O. Schwarz, your step-grandson will love it, as will his step-grandpa.
Congrats! Would like to see the wedding train assembled for the camera.... ...When you have a moment! (not like that's likely anytime soon, eh?)
You can be sure that by the end of July that the photos will be posted. Most likely it will be by June 22nd as that is when we with her 2 daughters and grandson leave on vacafion. The wedding was spectacular and took a while to process. OK, yes I am stjll pfocessing.
Stuck in NYC on Amtrak 174 which is now about 2 hours behind schedule!!! Arrrrrrgh! I just want to go home!
It got worse! We are stuc on a bus when we should already be home! Aproaching George Washington bridge. Are we being tested???
No. You are making memories. Years from now, you'll look back and recall it as a memorable event. Not the kind desired, but...
Good luck bud!! That's nothing..Once,on a flight back from Scotland,my wife and I were in the plane,on the ground, for over four hours!!! That was BEFORE an 11 hour flight back!!
I cant even get a beer on this buss. I'm drinking water that I paid for. Eeeeeeww But tat is better than those who didnt plan ahead. Thanks for listening.
Travel delays are the pits, especially once you are their captive on board. If it makes you feel better, I was visiting family a while back when the air trafic controllers went on strike. Guess what happened the day before my flight?
That flight I was on,there was this frail looking Indian woman that got on the plane in London. There was discussion before she got on,but on she went. After we hit the runway for takeoff, they changed their mind, and we had to go back to the terminal, where more discussion ensued, and they took her off...Well,NOW,it took so long for everything else that transpired, they somehow decided the food would be bad[Worse??] by the time we were supposed to eat,so we had to wait for new munchies to arrive from catering.By then,[wait for it!!] we needed more fuel, because the plane was idling for like,5 hours..And this was right after we already did a 2 hour flight from Edinburg..Spent almost a day on a plane..Ughhhh...And,oh yeah,I'm a big freakin' guy...
Travel Horror Stories We made it home about 6 hours late. Feel free to include your travel horror stores. First thing I grabbed was a glass of chilled wine. Second was the waiting Chinese dinner her daughters had ordered for us. Third third was a seat - about 2 hours later. Wedding Train Pics - will be the next post in a few hours.
