You will recall from last week the addition of crossovers and a siding near Caliente - here's some more now that scenery is a bit farther along. First an overall view: A second train comes into view: And a couple closer shots:
Looking good Jim, but I have a question or two and they are not meant to take away from your exceptional efforts. Is the road intended to be a dirt road? If so I am sure you will add some texture to it. Can I suggest the AIM powders earth or sand colors mixed with liquid hairspray. Are you planning to weather your locos and rolling stock? I may have asked this before but this thread is huge to ga back into. I think these additions are a great idea. Signed, An Oakville Sub groupy.
I really like what you've done, you've captured the look and feel of modern railroading. I can hear those UP locos thundering down the rails. When I grow up I want to be just like you! :bear-wink:
Haven't yet figured out how to embed the player yet, but here's a video for you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbsOWSG79qU
Dont worry about the embedding.. We're happy youve got some videos!! That was amazing by the way!! Post more when you can!!!
Jim, I hate you. That is one great looking long ass train. Wish I had that kind of room. Outstanding! Thanks for the video!
I don't think it's possible to embed on this board. I've never seen it done. The video is sweet. Why? Because you used a TRIPOD!! Nothing worse than a shaky, hand held, handy-cam video. The Oakville Sub rules!!
Thanks, All! More videos will come, stay tuned - but I'm not gonna shoot video to the exclusion of other activities on The Sub...
Ok Jim , now that we know you can shoot video, you are going to have to make plenty more! With trains at 40 + cars I start to drool ! Where's my hanky? Craig
Jim... the addition of those sound files made that even more realistic then I thought possible..:thumbs_up::thumbs_up::thumbs_up: .
Jim, What happended to the link to your website?? I found it back a few posts but the last two didn't have the links. JSL
I blame you, its all your fault! I'm now the proud owner of three Kato SD70Ace's wearing BNSF paint and some BNSF bethgons. :tb-biggrin: Your layout is inspirational, keep up the good work and continue to share photos!
