looking really nice with the road in place. I did that on a friends layout then used a mix of black india ink and alcahol to stain the road and looked great after a few thin coats.
Sorry to be a burden again, but, I know that you use glue shell scenery. Could you show us, or describe how you do it?
No problem. I start by making a web of cardstock or cardboard strips. I staple the strips together. I then tear a sheet of of cardstock(or paper) into small junks, dip them in white glue and stick them on the web. Once its dry, it gets a coat of plaster or sculptamold.
As much as I like seeing the finished product, it's also very cool to see how someone builds their layout. Nice job!
Both work. If you use normal paper, just be sure to layer it more. One material that works well is paper bags. Just rip them up and your good.
Sorry if I didn't explain that right, I meant paper wise. Also, I just wanted to say, if you ever build a larger layout, do take a look at this site. http://www.appalachianrailroadmodeling.com/railroads.html
Yeah, I know that site. Good stuff! I use some white cardstock for my glueshell. The only reason for this is that my mom has a small stationary business so I get all the reject cardstock.
Yeah sounds like a score. Lemmie tell ya scrap cardstock and power tools really keep a family together.
Not yet, but lets just say there are some changes in the works... I won't be able to get much done on it for a couple weeks though, life's too busy.
School, also been playing music with my Dad. We've got a gig coming up, so I've been practicing a bunch... but thats fun... I'll get back to the layout eventually.
