I have new N Scale items coming today and tomorrow. Today I get the Late Night Hobbies laser warehouse kit, and tomorrow, well it's a surprise, will post in N Scale NEW Purchase area at some point. I'm excited about it all. By the way what is the difference in the Kato N SD70ACe and the SD70MAC?
Well, Big Jake is right but I can add to it. The big difference will be the appearance. You can see in these pics of the real units that the rear radiator section is very different and the nose of the loco has some different configurations. Hopefully the pictures will help. In these photos, BNSF 9312 is the SD70ACe and BNSF 9908 is the SD70MAC (Took these in Saginaw TX Jan. 20, 2024)
Google AI told me this. The SD70ACe is the successor to the SD70MAC and has several differences, including: Design The SD70ACe has a redesigned layout to comply with emission standards, including a rearranged design with the dynamic brakes at the rear and an upgraded AC traction system. The SD70ACe's radiator design is more similar to the SD80/90 body. Engine The SD70ACe's engine fires with 15% lower internal pressure to improve emissions. Horsepower The SD70ACe has a prime mover rated at 4,300 horsepower, while later Tier 3 models are rated at 4,500 horsepower. Model designation The "M" designation in the SD70MAC model was dropped in the SD70ACe, with the lower-case "e" denoting its "enhanced" features.
Late Night Hobbies laser Warehouse Kit N Scale. Also included simple instructions, text and photo's. Very professional. I think this is going to be a fun kit as long as I don't break anything. The BIG blank sheet is just for shipping in this kit. To keep parts/sprues from bending and breaking during shipment. I have the wall pictures upside down, my bad.
Yeah I like the Paint Test Plate too. My first laser type kit. It even has separate window Sills. Once again picture upside down I'll take another picture of it correctly. The windows, and doors appear to be brittle which he actually mentions in the instructions. I sure hope I don't break anything when I work on it. I don't want it to end up being an abandoned warehouse with broken windows and such He is suppose to produce another N Scale kit end of 2024 or early 2025! This N Scale kit is back in stock now.
Think I might order this HO kit just for the heck of it. Maybe use it in a diorama or just give it to an HO person here In the future. Looks cool for $10.99 plus shipping
Kato N Scale CN new ES44AC & CN MAXI-IV containers. More videos of the other items soon I hope. Just a quick video.
Got a soft spot for the Kato CN ES44AC, it was my very first locomotive. I don't run trains much these days, but when I take out something to run just for a bit, that's the one I usually grab
Yeah, I think I would like to have another one already. Wow, the tiny lights and how they put them on in that gap, or on the front grill, or whatever it is called. My ES44DC CSX aren't like that, at least I don't think so? I'll have to get them out in the near future. This thing crawls too, and out of the box, or jewel case. Yes, I do want another one. Maybe in the future.
So my brand new Micro Trains #54140 CN Bulkhead Flat Cars w/lumber load, have an extra set of wheels in the jewel cases. I actually found this on TB here, is this correct, and why? "When MT did the spare set of wheels, depending on when they did it, some cars came with the low pros installed, others pizza cutters. But for the question, they are low pros", what the heck are Pizza Cutters, I mean I have one in the kitchen Are they sharp like a real pizza cutter? Will I need band aids at some point BTW, open rolling stock like this rarely works on my layout cause someone is too lazy to make a decision on the track layout and glue it down, adjust it correctly, etc.... but these cars are amazing, and now I want more of those too, maybe Notice the extra wheel sets in the jewel box? Man am I having fun with my new toys
These were purchased direct from Micro Trains and yes, the extra set of wheels came direct from the factory. Its common as far as I know.
