It's not the fishing. It's spending time with your son that is key! Even if you didn't catch anything you would have had a great time.
We generally filleted and skinned them (mostly speckled trout, with a few croaker, and an occasional redfish or flounder, from Galveston bay) with an electric knife. Not too bad, and not nearly as messy as scaling them.
You know, an idea might be for George to add a new pond on the layout with a couple of figures fishing to commemorate all this. On a side note, I located a picture of the fish George caught that has been leaked to the media.
OK...here is an update: I got some fire hydrants planted. . . . Some trash cans in the park. . . . 3 mailboxes planted at THE HOMESTEAD. . A USPO drop box set in town. . Still have some 55 gallon barrels to set at THE ENGINE SHOP and some HVAC units to put on roofs. Still have to order a bunch of other Miniature stuff.
Well.... My Nascar race has been postponed until Monday due to rain. That means I have already gone out and turned on the AC in THERR RV. That means a full day of running trains! .
Time to call it a day. Pulled the trains into Lucky Penny Yard and shut everything down. Did some switching in the yard while trains where running. It was a fun day running trains !
The lyricist, Everett Sloane, played Jubal Foster in the episode where Andy falsely believes Opie set a fire that burned down Foster's barn but Foster started it himself when he knocked a kerosene lamp off the wall while messing around with his illegal still. It also includes one of Barney's classic "drunk" scenes. Doug
Keep it up! Funny just toooo funny. I was in a Toy Train Club and heard someone say he had to turnout some cars on a siding. I asked him if he didn't mean to say he was going to spot some cars on a siding? No, he meant what he said. Go figure.
