Thank you for the diorama votes at the convention SecretWeapon & gatrhumpy and also for the congrats from BoxcabE50.

GeorgeJ...you and your N-Scale Enthusiast team put on a fantastic convention in Roanoke and made us non-member attendees feel very welcome. I am now convinced that it's time to send in my membership application.

SecretWeapon Mike: Sorry I did not get to spend more time shooting the bull with you. Seems like there was so much to do and places to go.

I somehow got tangled up with the international crowd and spent way too much time with them. I think the Aussies coerced me into going to the N Scale convention in Brisbane next April. With all the arm twisting I may never be able to get my shoulder back in joint. ;)

    Paul-

Glad you had a good time and thanks for the good thoughts. As with any convention, it's all about the people who do the ground work, and we had a terrific ground crew. Even with one of our key players out with a bad wing, the convention was a blast.

It was cool to see all of the entires in the model contest, and the tours were amazing! Dick Ollendorf did a terrific job talking us into places we would not have gotten in any other way.

We continue to refine our program, and if you have any suggestions to make things better, please feel free to contact me or the team directly. email addresses are on the N Scale Enthusiast website.

Next year Sacramento! We have a tough act to follow, but we are sure going to try. We have great train rides already picked out, and the California State Rail Museum has some special stuff for us. The hotel is larger, so we have more room for layouts, and we want to invite all format module and stand alone layouts to come and wow the attendees and the public. We are also looking for layouts of all scales for the tours.

Should be a great time, y'all come, hear?

    George

In three years when the convention rotates back to the East Coast, I'm going to bring my son. He'll be nine by then.

Would be great to have you down Russell. I'll move the arm twisting on to George J then ;-)

I was thinking the same thing Russ. I was looking for you Sunday morning to say good bye. Hopefully, we'll get together in Ca. next year.

I just found this on the N Scale Enthusiast web site. Can't remember if it was posted elsewhere, but here it is again if it was.
