New O scale Layout

Started putting grass on edge at top am brushing what falls to edge on bottom, it will stay after i spray with glue

 

edges of grass mat do not stick to the plaster, i should have known that since it is porous, so using large grass to hide edge, have some weeds and other stuff i will add later after track is put back on later in week.

 

So no sure how many folks have grand-kids or kids but i got my two grand-kids to help with plaster wall and here is a pic of one building a wooden train kit i got we do together but he is really doing the work for it.

 

got the boys helping some more on some color. little by little maybe by sunday i can get track back in place and start on tunnels and mountain

laying some track back down and fasting it down, mountain comes next. as well as adding grass in the other direction toward the town.

 

Got a bit done today, Since the Rain does not stop i can work on train, Using 1/4 foam board for sides and internal support for tunnels and mountain, am going to get 2" foam to put on top and then make a couple sections that i can remove to access track when needed.

 

That foam board makes a big difference. This is going to be a great scene.

All - Just wanted to note i am in need of stepping away from hobby for a bit, My wife came down with stomach Cancer and i had been using hobby to get my mind off of everything, but with working extra hours to make up time for going to Hospital and Dr Appointment, i am finding that i just need to step back for a while to take care of her. We have been married for 42 years and we are going to a another hospital in a couple weeks to discuss other options. just a bit more important.
