The first layout i did a long time ago was HO but it was too big for space i had and i did a really nice N scale one with tunnels, on a 4x4 space, all kits was fun. As i got older i saw O scale in a restaurant all the time for sale on a wall in Albuquerque and always wanted the bigger stuff. when i started this i wanted Kits but so hard to find, so part kits part woodland scenic s stuff i liked. Am doing Tunnel now but have to figure out ho to get inside them and lifting top sections off to get to tracks inside, will post a picture of what i am doing later in week. And i am glad you like!!
I saw it, I am looking for smaller details. I have enough buildings for the moment. Saw some really nice 3d printed stuff may order one to check it out. Pep
Started layout foam base on my layout, once done i will put Grass mat from woodland Scenic s over it making progress slowly.
Going to start laying Grass mat on Sunday, then put track back down and fasten to table. Then remark and lay-down roads
It is brick, Michael's was selling a roll of vinyl brick 18"x36" for $15 that they had for Christmas village stuff. i bought two, am putting a piece of balsa at spots painted grey like concrete a pillar as well. When i got it was on sale in store for 50% off. https://www.michaels.com/product/lemax-large-brick-road-34916-364590758882377730
had to redo some as in places i went to slow and hot glue did not stick, working it in smaller sections have one more to do after it dries a bit.
Grass mat started to day, still need to glue down and get some rock for one edge of the risers, once glued am going to put track back and fasten to table on this end and mark edge for other grass areas., then on to next section.
going to start laying down roads so i can finish grass around them, then get track back in place permanent. Bridge and supports came out better than i expected.
Did a bit of plaster work making a rock wall, gluing the grass mat down next and get track back in place after cleaning up edges
