I first started reading this post and most things asked for have been granted (my fatigued brain took a while to notice it was first posted in 2000) My biggest wish would be for a C&NW E-4 Hudson (The loco that if I had a bank account the size of Donald Trump's I would go out and build a real one) Followed by C&NW H-1 northern a couple of E-2 pacifics and a R-1 0-6-0 definaltely a bunch of Baldwins FT/F3/F7 in C&NW freight scheme (I'm too lazy to paint sometimes) GP-30 in GM&O black and white for the old times modern F40-PH F-59's (non-streamlined) Horizon cars p.s. Jas stop spending money on computers and you'll have 3 cab-fowards plus a ticket to Sacramento to see a real one
Sten What do you mean one ticket, Jason would be like me if he goes the tribes gota go----there goes the cab forward again. Wombat
I still think a GP 15-1 would top my list. Or a GP 38-2 (I mean, how many of these were built for how many roads?) with some of the newer production techniques. Steam: TEXAS! A T&P 2-10-4 would be awesome, though I don't know if I'd have the bucks it would probably cost. And how about someone do covered hoppers or tanks decorated but unnumbered. Maybe throw in some decal numbers to allow folks to do multiples (thinking of UTLX or GATX tanks, NATX covered hoppers)
If you heard the amount he was quoting for a new PC then it still goes, a couple of Cab Fowards and a round trip to Sacramento for the whole family with spending money
Ah whats a bloke to do.............................? Oh yeah wombat, bugger the tribe, this will be a solo trip
Here we go again... Vehicles I Want in N scale AMC (Rambler) 1958 Metropolitan, 1962 Classic 4 Dr Sedan, 1964 Ambassador wagon, 1966 American 4 Dr Sedan, 1966 Marlin, Chevrolet 1958 Belair 4 Dr Sedan, 1959 El Camino, 1961 Biscayne wagon, 1963 Split window Corvette, 1965 Belair 4 Dr Sedan, 1965 pickup, 1966 El Camino, Chrysler 1965 New Yorker, Dodge 1963 Coronet 4 Dr Sedan, Ford 1959 Country Sedan station wagon, 1963 Falcon 4 Dr Sedan, 1964 Galaxy 500 2 Dr Hardtop, 1964 Fairlane 4 Dr Sedan, 1967 Ranchero Plymouth 1957 Fury 2dr HT, 1965 Valiant (sedan or wagon…or both), 1966 Barracuda, Pontiac 1963 Catalina 4 Dr Sedan, aw heck…throw in a ’63 wagon also. Gimp "Broken Record" Lizard
Also in the vehicle category: - a modern ambulance, something less dated than the old Road Apples Cadillac; modular style on either a van or pick-up chassis - military trucks, like the LMTV or HEMTT series (please please please GHQ!) - some more body styles from the 70's; I've seen a lot of 50's and very modern, but things like Pintos, LTD's, VW Rabbit/Golf that could be used in large numbers for a large time span - mail delivery Jeeps - motorcycles - accesories to add emergency lights/sirens
Paul, I've been asking for a late GP38-2 non-DB in Mopac myself, along with a GP15-1 (inertial air filter please), U23Bs and a mid/late SD40-2 (non-DB, non-snoot) round out the list. That should just about do it for my Mopac roster, wallet permitting. Vehicles: cars with 10-year bodies, such as late model Chevy trucks and '82-'92 Camaros that would fit within a couple of different timeframes. New cars would probably be a hit too with all the new modern loco power available. ~Tim
I think I've got just the thing for you. http://n-scale-model-railroad.alain-pelletier.com/LED-flasher.php
Are those N Scale vehicles? WOW! That said, I'm also talking about non-operating stuff just to dress up some vehicles. But still, those do look awesome.
