More, More Intermodal, Thank You Alan, Searails, Port of Hollywood and S&R Models but more yard tractors container lifts, also a MP-15AC would be nice for the yard
You have got your wish. Atlas is slated to release thier Shay this fall/winter. I just would like to see a three truck version follow it up, or perhaps a kit to convert same.
How true! Definitely a U25B without that ugly one piece windshield! Late U28B/early U30B (MILW.) Then there is the U25C (In NP.) And U33C (MILW.) And................. Boxcab E50
Amazing how great minds think alike. I am in need of a quality Pacific, and the MP offering does not meet the specification. Len
Hard to choose but... 1. RS11 modern DCC ready highly detailed N&W 2. Just about any diesel in ICG orange and white. rumour has it life like will fulfill this need in their gp18 second run. Too bad it isn't DCC ready. 3. A lighter crane instead of those really huge cranes. Something with a long spindly boom. Like they had for HO scale by IHC.
A hyper-space closet in which I could store all my surplus stuff so I could clear out the train room enough to build a layout.
Wow! This is amazing! Picking up a thread that's four years, five months old, and running with it! How about looking back over some of these older posts, and seeing what has come to fruition? BTW, I'm still yammering away for some F/FP45's!
Let's continue this roll, shall we? We need some GE motive power too! I would put a U23B on the top of the list. Pretty simple request considering Atlas already produced the mechanism for the U25B. Secondly, and in no particular order, a U33C and a U36C.
I second Jason's thought. We need some good non brass locomotives that are dependable. We need GS-4, and cab forward or as SP called them back-up mallets made by Atlas or Kato. I know these are bery "road specific" but I think they would sell well.
Of recent years, I have to question the validity in buying brass, unless, of course you happen to be a collector. Please understand, I'm not being disrespectful to those who buy brass. It used to be, that one would buy brass to fill a void in plastic models. This I've done (W&R Ent. F45, Hallmark SD26) as these models were not available in plastic. The running qualities of most brass pale in comparison to the recent offerings from Atlas and Kato. Lastly, the quality in details in plastic models has vastly improved. With the improvement seen in plastic locomotives of late, I would be hard pressed to buy brass models ever again.
The GP-15 sounds good. For the older era nuts, how about Baldwin DR15-4-4 Baby Face, A-B-A lashup. This will save me going through my next planned kitbash job. Norco.
Man i hate it when you do that, just weened myself off ebay AGAIN,now i gotta have alook-see at this....................doh *hours later*MMmmmmm only $1500 au. very very tempted as Ive just recieved my tax return & could afford this thing.................... thinking thinking,is it worth losing some vital body parts?????????????
