You lucky guys who get to go Eurospoor! I wish I was there. Have a great time, and take lots of pictures to share with us all. -Robert
Recieved some new rolling stock today I just noticed it says o...servation! I notice some friction at the wheels of all my daylight cars when I push them over my track. I have some european cars which fly when I push them, they have very little friction. Does anyone have a solution for this? In other news; I recieved a response from Mythman! He had some troubles and got delayed, he's finishing my switches now I have some nice pics from Eurospoor 2005, I have to tweak them a little before they look good. I'm thinking about opening an account on railimages.com I've also been running trains! It took a few years but I finished the track on my second module and putt them together, I broke-in all my AZL engines and they run so well! The 3% grade is too steep for my liking, I will remove the track and lift it up a bit earlier. [ November 10, 2005, 12:51 PM: Message edited by: SmolderZ ]
Check the wheels to see if they are in gauge. "I notice some friction at the wheels of all my daylight cars when I push them over my track. I have some european cars which fly when I push them, they have very little friction. Does anyone have a solution for this?" Randy
They're definitely in gauge, everything looks like it supposed to be. The wheels move around freely, but when I putt the car on the track, the pointy ends of the wheels which fall in the truck seem to cause the friction. Maybe I need to break them in?
It's been a while since I showed some progress I started adding more foam on the first module. Still tweaking those supports, they're glued but they do move with a little force. The track on the inside is painted and balast, the whole shed is glued down onto the module now.
HOLY COW!! That's a lotta' snow!! I don't even think Donner Pass get's that much!! Ha, Ha, just kidding! When the picture first popped up, that's the first thing I thought! Keep up the awesome work!
Of course the structure has to be tested for strenght first before trains are allowed through it The mountain has to become partly removeable to alow track cleaning. I'm not sure how to do this yet. I might show some new pictures tomorrow.
