"BRAND NEW HARD TO FIND ITEM, RARE BOX CAR TRACK CLEANER VERY LITTLE USE LIKE NEW" So the roof walk is supposed to look like that and I see no way for it to clean the track at all. Maybe I haven't drank enough Budweiser yet $40 http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-BOX-CA...435139?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item5654d50943
Last one today: 12 'NICE weathered/painted boxcars Atlas Lima Bachmann ETC'. 'The two liquid cards are missing wheels...'. 'I'm not an expert on these, I feel like these cars are painted really well. They just look fantastic.'. I am, they're not. $75 http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-lot...766960?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3381c904f0
Why didn't I think about putting him on my ignore list? Thanks for the suggestion (and I love the UMTRR)!
Actually , I bought the printed set of Heinz pickle car sides and combined them with some laser kit pickle cars to make a coffin style car, I thought I was being quite clever..
I think the printed sides might be fun in a "challenging" sort of way. I bought a set of Santa Fe dry ice reefer sides because I have been thinking about that car for umpty-umpteen years, fits my Galveston layout, and having sides would be easier than scratchbuilding entire car. (Just scratch the inside core...) And a banana reefer fits Galveston too. The purple Chateau Martin is just, well, different. I should admit though it has not been a priority to actually built them... I have "some" slight experience in N scale in the old "wood box" method of building house cars, from 1 "box of sticks" craftsman kit, 1 N scale Heinz reefer built from sides printed in an old NMRA Bulletin, and Gloor/Quality Craft B&O round-top box and 50' reefer. These printed sides may be fun for someone who has some idea what they're getting into. Disclaimer: I have no financial connection with the printed-side guy, but I am an occasional eBay seller...
Hi Mark, It is possible that there are some modelers that are desperately looking for rolling mill buildings to compliment the Steel Mill Series Blast Furnace, Coke Ovens etc. Since I doubt Walthers will re-release another set of these kits anytime soon... you may have a point. My thoughts are that these buildings were available in a large enough quantity several years ago that Walthers had discounted them to about $25.00 which is when I bought two of them.... wish I had gotten 25 of them! The MSRP was about $55.00 when they first came out. Still these prices are over twice MSRP... and the buildings are not particularly complex. I've been shopping less and less on Ebay over the past few years. Good deals are becoming hard to find... and these weird overpriced listings have become the norm. At one time I figured I could buy as much woo woo woo as I wanted because I could always sell my overstock on Ebay to get back most or more than my initial purchase. Now with this increase in fees... and the pending taxation of sales outside of home state. The likelyhood is I will give up on Ebay altogether.. buying or selling. (Who needs the 'revenuers' to hunt us down for a few bucks per deal!)
This one is great! New, but As-Is. I will say at least the seller did say that it was melted from heat while on display. On display where in the middle of a desert? http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALTHERS-N-..._RR_Trains&hash=item5655cfc37b#ht_1990wt_1328
http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-mod...256165?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item257d9d61e5 This guy deserves either a pat on the back or a smack in the face.
A very special deal for you C&O fans. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kadee-Micro-Trains-32130-Chesapeake-Ohio-50-Plug-Door-Boxcar-C-O-22618-n-Flaw-/221212317353?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item33814816a9 If you want a second one, I've got the Bachmann version of this car with Accumates and metal wheels to sell you, but no jewel case. Sorry.
You know, when I see stuff like this,I gotta wonder if the seller is some uninformed guy who hears old Lionel is worth money, hence, they think ANY old train is big bucks..
Okay, great idea... that I never heard of before. So, how does one do this? Searched around a bit on eBay and can't figure it out.
