This one has to be a typo right? I would not bid over $900 for these very rare and classic cars. Kevin
This one is good too! 8 Roundhouse cars for $90 w/ $12 shipping! I dont think any of those cars are worth more than about $4 each. Most I would pay is $40 for the whole lot with shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/n-gauge-lot...l_RR_Trains&hash=item3cc7d2e926#ht_305wt_1091
I think this seller should sell used cars! I love the description; "Seen some miles but runs well." http://www.ebay.com/itm/BURLINGTON-...307536?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item5af0b2d190
Better than "thrashed, crashed and bashed". He could add a positive...two handrail stanchions included! Dave
Seen some miles...LOL!! Yeah, unfortunately, most of them were put on during the filming of the Blues Brothers..

Plus they're not "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item" as seller describes them. He'll argue the point with you if you contact him.
THESE are the jerks that caused the EBAY 9% TAX now levied on all S&H collected. Instead of punishing the abusers, they (ebay) punished everyone. Also - as a seller, I have had it up to here with the 'no bids' until the last day, or hour, and then one looses their shirt. I am about this close to pulling everything off, cancelling the items. I stopped using the .99 start a year ago, no faith in it. Thats why so many start prices are higher now - the non-bidding has caused it. As for the balls-ee' dreamers that place ridiculous start prices, dream on. And I was under the impression that the 'relist for free' option was only for one time. Its the stores type sellers that get like 2000 free listings a month.
Or was this condition caused when their dog buried this item in the back yard, and they did not find it again for about twenty years?
I'm not a store type seller and I get 50 free listings a month. If I relist, it just uses one of my freebies.
Here's another one from the "Used Car Salesman": http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEAM-LOCOM...635233?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item5655adb661 It's "running with light"! Well if it indeed does run, it's going to be tough to couple to the rest of the train without the tender! I'm not even sure it will run without the tender, but if it does it might be a little jerky. This person seems to have an endless supply of locos in really bad shape. I mean REALLY bad shape. He'll sneak a few good ones in every now and then but for the most part they look like they've been used as dog chew toys. Mike
There is nothing wrong with that listing. The Bachmann 4-8-4 runs just fine without a tender because it doesn't have tender pickup. It will run as good as its going to run just like that. $39 may be a bit high for a loco without a tender but a new complete version is going for around $90 today. It appears to be a newer run but without knowing, its maybe worth a $15 gamble. The older versions aren't worth the plastic they are made of, the new ones run very well.
Rolling Mill building... for someone that likes to get 'rolled'? $135.00 to $175.00... REALLY... SERIOUSLY... ??? http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-rol...853377?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item35c6ef8801 http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-rol...150824?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f23a7fa68
Tony,I have two old metal chassis versions, they happen to run very well, one runs as smooth as a Con Cor Hudson,[Yes,I know, the excecption rather than the rule..] And both have one side tender pickup..

As for the balls-ee' dreamers that place ridiculous start prices, dream on. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can never understand why anybody would start something for for .99 cents, unless it's just something you were gonna throw away.I wouldn't even waste my time typing it up.If you list it for .99 cents, you should expect to get .99 cents for it,since there may only be one bid on it.Starting it low,and then putting a reserve price on it is even more nonsense. If you won't sell it to a friend for less than $35.00,why start it at .99 cents, and hope to get to $35.00? I start my stuff at the lowest,no haggle price I'd sell it for,and put a "buy It Now" on it for what I think it's really worth, which is usually what I'd pay for it if I wanted it,not what I'd hope to get for it.. And,I always bid at the last second, and the highest amount I'd pay for it.That's what an "auction" is about..Being the person who wants it most at the drop of the hammer. Why bid as soon as you see it? That just gives that other guy time to think about it,or borrow the money off his mom,LOL!! Other than the ridiculous listing and Paypal fees,if you're losing money on Ebay, you're doing it wrong..
