Depends upon the car. Most likely they aren't rare or unusual pieces. I would suspect that with M/T conversions, even if unused cars, you'd find those on swap meet tables more in the $5 to $8 range. I've sold many such pieces in the $5 to $6 range. Going above that, they just sit there.

Ouch! I think this one should go under the category of the seller should pay you to take it off his hands.

I do like his description of how "In September of this year along the Chattanooga Tennessee Red Bank Line a Passenger fell asleep in the rear of this coach wile apparently Smoking. All Passengers did survive. A Great Restore Project! "

I suppose there is someone out there, who could patch this up. Most folks I know could not. The description mentioned "KaDee" couplers. Somehow I don't believe it. Those look more like Kato couplers.

Technically speaking, you only need PART of a new shell and a window or two.

Well, I'm not huge on being a rivet-counter, but since I chose to model NS before I knew better, I have noticed all the subtle differences NS insists on having on their locos. So I will give this guy a little credit. But the $285 price tag begs the question.

Just at first glance I noticed:
-Crappy headlight relocation above the windshields (looks like he just drilled random holes and jammed fiber optics in)
-Incorrect narrow front and rear handrails
-Incorrect number font on rear of 9915
    -Stock Kato horns
    -Paint looks a bit thick
-9255 is missing the "e" on "look, listen, and live"

Not knocking the guy's hard work, but for close to $300 there are too many issues. I guess there's a sucker out there who will buy them though...

Seems to me that if a person is going make that much effort, might as well carefully do it up right. Then it could be worth the price.

I'd guess we all have bought something hairy. But why does it usually seem to be something we really want and have been searching to find, can only be located in that condition? Another of Murphy's Laws?

    With reference the Life-Like SD-7.

Thankfully he won't do International orders, I was really tempted - "NOT!"
