I know someone who is British, and unfamiliar with American railroading terms. Someone gave him a set of A-B F units for the Rio Grande's Royal Gorge train, and he was referring to the b-unit as a 'continuation unit'. I suppose it sort of does make sense.

I can't post an example, as I use the ebay app and tapatalk, but here's whats making me chuckle now.
I follow the word Chrostmas in n scale. Ya just cant have too many holiday trains... anyway there is/are seller(s) that throw xmas into every listing. I can just skip it, but I don't see much market for spontaneous purchase of old random box cars, stumbled upon by someone lookibg for Christmas themed stuff. I say ENJOY, to the seller, but occasionally chuckle.

I am certain this will happen with growing frequency. Folks won't want to be uncompensated employees, enduring dealing with such nonsense and any liabilities involved.

Wonder what that is all about? Is Kalifornia trying to collect taxes from ebay sellers? Good luck with that, Kalifornia.....

No kidding! If I thought I could get even half that for mine, I'd put it on eBay in a heartbeat.

    Cheers,

But they are "rollong". Whatever that is... I noted the shipping price of $10.55, and am trying to figure out how they pan to get it done that cheaply.

California expects sellers that reside in California to collect tax from shipments to buyers in California. It is not worth it not to. They will catch you.

I have been collecting the tax from buyers for years. E Bay automatically adds it if you set it up in your preferences. I file with the state every July. The form is very easy. Takes about 5 minutes to complete. I pay about $50.00 a year since most of my sales (80%) are outside of California.

I'm surprised E Bay lets this seller have such terms. Especially the part about not accepting E Checks.

That is understandable. Even though it still stinks to make people do uncompensated work.

But if they expect non-residents to do such tasks, that's not going to fly. This seller seems to be non-business, residing outside of California, and who would derive zero benefit from expending the effort to collect those fees.

I happened to drop in to eBay for a quick viewing and saw this item which was 'featured' by Sears!

    http://www.sears.com/pola-n-scale-building-model-340/p-SPM11273310610?sid=IDx20140425xECNMPTY26&srccode=cii_20121666&cpncode=35-266441928-2&redirectType=SRDT

Now... I realize that Sears is known for a lot of things... but not N scale stuff AFAIK.

The price on this is really 'out' there too. $80 bucks... for an old Pola townhouse kit. Even if the kit was rare enough to command that price... why does Sears even bother to get involved in things they probably know little about???

On a good day... I would pay no more than $20 bucks... and I might expect FREE SHIPPING TOO.
