JLS, Welcome to trainboard I was hoping you would pay us a visit. As i have told others your website is one of the best I have seen and your layout is impressive. I hope you become a regular to this forum Colonel ------------------ http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pcassar/index

quote:
Originally posted by Alan: Brent, those pictures really convey a sense of heavy duty railroading. Excellent stuff

Thanks Alan! It really is a "Short-Stacker" I left off a few well-cars so it wouldn't take so long to take down. I use the Walthers 5-unit wells and 3 unit Husky Stacks. I Also have a Deluxe Innovations set. When I add in the Walthers 85ft. flats and Auto-Racks, it gets close to a mile long. More Train means, MORE POWER! ------------------ RAILROADING-TO-THE-MAX, Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Style! Walden Leadville and Southwestern, a N scale layout A new picture!!! Don't hesitate to visit traiN'ternet, http://www.trainternet.org (2 differents EPass are available in this site)
What a great bunch of pictures! There is something that I would personally like to see and that is information about what type of camera, and if not digital, film, scanner used, etc. . Ffayolle, just took a look at your site and noticed the Model Photography section. Lots of good information there. Thanks for joining us and sharing your web site, photos and info with us. ------------------ Residing in BNSF's St. Croix Subdivision near Trempealeau, WI [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 19 June 2000).]
Patrick, The pictures posted by me here and on my site are taken with a digital nikkon camera. Not sure what type but I'm sure Gats can answer that for you ------------------ http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pcassar/index
Thanks Colonel. If I remember correctly I think Gats uses the Nikon CP 950. People that have that camera seem to be very happy with it . ------------------ Residing in BNSF's St. Croix Subdivision near Trempealeau, WI [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 20 June 2000).]
I think you are correct Patrick, I used his camera and it is excellent. It is just remarkable how you can take a photo then download it sttaight to a computer to view. ------------------ http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pcassar/index
Thomas, I am planning an access road over my main yard with a bridge like that! Was it a kit, or made from parts, or scratchbuilt? ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
Alan, the bridge is scratchbuilt,my first attempt at such a venture. It's probably 75% wood and the rest is plastic. It was fun making and cost hardly anything.
GREAT pics EVERYONE!!!! Hey Alan, maybe I should make a bridge like that as one of my products.......hhhmmmmm ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing AND N scale detail parts!!!
Wow!! Look at that back drop. All the layouts that have been presented are very nice! I really like the back drop in that last pic, and I love the scenery on the pics Maxwell Plant posted. Also-pray59, that was a SPECTACULAR picture!! Happy Railroading!! Dane N. ------------------ BC Rail King TAMR2860@Canada.com for TAMR info. BCRailKing@Canada.com
I wish I could take credit for the module the photo's taken on but I can't. It belongs to a member of another club that we run with. Now the motive power and the train, well, that's all mine. But you're right, it is a nice scene. That's why I had the photo taken there. ------------------ RAILROADING-TO-THE-MAX, Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Style! When the new dash-9s came out a couple years back, I couldn't wait to see what something modern looked like on my layout. And then I went straight for the camera.
