You know I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you just can't go wrong with Colorado Narrow Guage Of course being a Colorado Native may bias me a bit John
Took these 2 shots last year at the East Broad Top. It's not 2ft, but it'll do. Love back woods railroading. The EBT would be quite the place if more of the line was open for operation. Even now, it's still a huge step back in time. Ken
It's all original EBT equipment. If you've never been there before, it's well worth the trip. They only run on weekends, but it's a nice place to visit. The place is truly a step back in time, and amazingly enough, is mostly intact from end to end. This is a shot of the Mount Union end, taken near the coal transfer area. I loved the tree growing up through the car, and thought i'd like to model that in some scale on some layout. The other shot shows some of the dual gauge track inthe Mt. Union yard, which has been cleared for future standard gauge operation by the Mount Union Connecting RR. Note the old cars in the very distance. THere are another whack of cars here, boxcars, hoppers, flats. Ken
That's really a statement in itself. I like your view looking down those dual gauge tracks! Boxcab E50
