Don't you mean "Once The Borg Assimilated Them?"

I have a friend who retired from the SP, pre DRGW merger (former TNO employee). He stated it was kind of sad because when the UP merged with the SP that they used UP's first name and SP's last name. I won't repeat what he called the color of yellow used to repaint his beloved bloody noses. This is a family friendly site after all.;)

Still a picture I took circa 1996-1997 between Mojave and Cameron. Unfortunately I was too far (from an automobile I was passenger in) and the picture is rather inaccurate, as roadnumbers cannot appear, thus not letting me know what unit is this one.

Lead unit looks like a 3100 series GP40. Second is an SP tunnel motor.

I wouldn't elevate the "peril" to the level of Borg! That would be insulting to Star Trek!!! :ROFLMAO:

Trying to remember. It's been too long, but that SP train passing Vancouver must be the run through they had with BN. Can't recall the symbol, but it was something like LAS/SLA.

I remember they ran all the way to Interbay, (Seattle) Wa. I seen them a few times in Tacoma in the 80's.

I finally found my little book of old pics with a couple of wreck repairs we did when I worked at LRC in Livingston. These were done about 95-96. The 7341 was pulled out of a creek, I think, The 8541 had a run in with something, but the cab was unoccupied, thankfully! PIC_0391.JPG PIC_0390.JPG
The red box on the nose is a portable battery pack we used to test the locos with. PIC_0389.JPG PIC_0386 (1).JPG

I see they used part of MRL 704- Wasn't that a high nose SD35?

Yup. Have pics of that as we disassembled and scrapped it out. It was convenient to have the parts still lying arond when we needed them.
