SP/SSW Before the Yellow Peril

There's the model version too.

 

We had a handful of SP repairs and repaints at LRC in the early 90's, and we had to use that water based latex. It sure was pretty when it was new! Now you're going to want me to find those pics.......

Always liked that Bi-Centennial loco!

 

Don't forget the D&RGW. The yello peril got them too.

 

Western Pacific got gobbled up too. My photos are too big to post.

I can't get enough of that Katy SD40-2 photo, Russell. That's how my childhood was spent, trackside along the joint Katy-Mopac Whitesboro Sub with that same view of Katy green or Jenks blue SD40-2s charging up the hill by my house. I would love to see more if you have them!

 

4449 was from before the "Yello Peril"

 

The only saving grace for the U.P., STEAM! Got to love their steam program.

Of course, 4449 is even better!
