Oh Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. I hate to tell you now but for less of the same amount of $$, you could have gotten enough supplies to fence anything, on your entire layout. For me, it takes WAY longer for the paint to dry than to do actual construction. I did a class recently for Steel City Div just a month or so ago and everyone went home with a section of fence. and the H-orrably O-versized guys seem inpressed also. Wayne Sorry to gloat but
I've got one pair with the thinnest lens possible, and I get on great with them - but they did cost an arm and a leg. The spare pair in comparison are regular Tri-Focals with 'Coke Bottle bottoms' lens
Well, I probably shouldn't say, but I can even put three (3) rows of barbed wire on the top (that's why the VA has me on all those little pills) (and yes, I have tri-focals and use visor) (8<))-. The hardest part is finding a wooden yard stick to make the jig nowadays. Wayne B'ham
LOL...as long as they post here and stay off the layout.....I don't like mice, blind or with vision, on the layout!
Jerry, I like the new engine. I'm sorry I'm not still close enough to have it visit the WC&W RR. Glenn
Ok, Ok, all of this fun begs the question. Who made your locomotive and can I buy it from Mike Fifer? Can I presume or is that assume, it is DCC Ready or Installed? The details and tender look mighty fine...from what I can see. More, give us more, more is better.
Jerry, about 60' more mainline than when I left Odenville. Still struggling to fill out the ops group, so I am not motivated to build the 2 helixes and the 2 big yards. After all, why add more crew jobs when the ones you have aren't full. The crew I have is a fun crew, but less experienced than the Odenville group. Let me know if you get down this way! I'll try to stop in if I get up your way. Glenn
The steamer was one of three brass imports a Trainboard member listed here for sale. I liked this one the best and we worked out a price we both liked and here she is. Glenn, I will definatly let you know when I get time to get down there. Would love to see the new layout. The Odenville sessions were always a lot of fun, and with awesome crewmen. Still hang with some of them on the Coosa
And my excitement of the day.... http://www.myfoxal.com/story/22419481/man-survives-collision-with-train-in-glencoe
