Yes....going to be interesting. Gadsden Yard is getting a complete rebuilding, then the main from Birmingham to Gadsden, then Gadsden to Guntersville. They better work fast....LOL
Except for the yellow light pipes...maybe they've corrected that on the later runs, but I had to buy clear pipes from Kato to make them look decent...
Yes, photos to come, and maybe a N Gineers class on the SD70Ace......for old times sake, on a brand new unit.
Jerry: You can bring and run a model of one of the of the new engines at Manchester's Railroad Days, Oct 20, 2012. Al
I may actually get some time to model on the layout tonight! Cooking dinner now, got my reports done, yard work is done, lightly raining, clothes washed and dried, and in about 1hr....its MY time!
G'day OC Engineer JD , Looks impressive....from the photo..best of luck with it..Are you only modelling ATSF pre merger? I'm building a non prototypical BNSF mid to late 1990s layout on an old table table base...and wish I had more room to do a proper baseboard..still loads of fun though..I'm using SD-40-2s , ES44s , and Dash 9s...with a couple of older GP 38s chucked in for good measure on three tracks..two of which are linked via a crossover... Fascinated by ATSF and BNSF from afar (Australia)... Great stuff ..hope it comes together nice for you.. Cheers tigers1960 (Rod)..
I have a little of everything really Rod! LOL Steam to SD70ACe's. If I am in the mood for steam, I'll run them, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's....now, LOL, I run them. Too much nice stuff out there now in N Scale to limit myself.
