Ready to get one rust colored line installed. The rest will be charcoal/black. This will be my 'practice' line.
Usually we see overhead wires silhouetted against a bright sky. Even on a cloudy day, the sky is relatively bright--and at night, generally the wires aren't illuminated enough to see colors. So the wires almost always look black to us, regardless of what color they really are.
Alright! Black EZLine arrived today! Going to be doing some stringing after yard work and it cools down some.
Two more lines down. Will add more tomorrow night and get some photos. The black is VERY hard to see against scenery. Glad I added the rust colored one.....lol Other things learned: Like real poles, as the tension increases, so does the pole stress. A couple will need supports. Was going to add them from photos for looks, now getting them for real support on some poles. Same goes for the crossarms. Too much tension....ping! Off it goes. Only had that happen twice. Really slows progress up...LOL This EZ Line is some very neat stuff.
Jerry, the tension you are experiencing is why I suggested stringing EZ-Line with lots of slack. Don't know why, but once the line is glued down, it will shrink, and "ping"....:uhoh:
Went and got some photos of tonights progress after a shower to see how much 'shrinkage' I had gotten. Was hoping not to find crossarms shot all over the place.
Heres a good photo showing how much it 'disappears' against the green scenery vs the ground colors. Will add the lines closest to the GS4 tomorrow.
I'm not gonna comment on either of those 2 lines...I'm NOT gonna comment. Nope...NOPE....N O P E !!! Cant make me... ROFLMAO.... :startled: :teeth:
