Yeah, but you can see the Green in BNSF H1 & H2 Green.

    H3 is 96% black.

GN green is a darker shade of green then H1 & H2.

Could somebody post a photo of their model please.. in normal light and outdoors?

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a color problem. I just got my NOKL well cars and they are brown... uhh NOKL well cars are ex Arizona & California well cars and should be a bright Red.

My how snarky of you...) Stuff happens when you are processing so many kits in a month, not an excuse...but it happens.

I didn't catch it until I started searching for a prototype to weather mine.

I bought them and that's the goal for you.

Eddie--looking at the Railcar Photos site, I found both the NOKL cars (210110 and 210152) and while they arn't brown, the are not bright red either. To me the look more like a shade of boxcar red. But as you know, opinion about colors is very subjective.

It's called weathering and all those years being in direct sunlight. Still look at the spots where the dirt has been wiped. Bright Red.

And Eddie, my kids thank you for buying our products!!

The 48' wells are suspeciously reddish brown and the 40' wells are bright red. I called a small pow-wow today about this ongoing color issue and have made agreements to better check colors...ie getting more folks involved. For the most part we do a good job, but every now and then we get thrown off by bad info or a bad picture. In this case we called out a color that was incorrect. Our bad.

    Photos...

I'm not trying to start an arguement between MTL and AZL... but, there is a slight difference in the "green" being used. And... by no means, am I an expert... unlike others here on this board. Are these considered two different paint schemes?

These photos are taken in direct sun-light. The AZL... I can see a deep, dark, forest green. I'm just not seeing any shade of green on the MTL. In-doors... it's almost impossible to see any differences... at least with my eyes.

Again, Joe... this is nothing against you or MTL.

The greens should match. Hard to tell from those shots. Could you take a photo with the sun to your back?

The green looks a little too dark to me.

    The greens do not match.

    Sorry about the photos.
Sun to my back? Look at the back-ground of the photos. That's a big step to get on the other side!
Yes... I'll try to get a better photo.

    Green photos...

Okay, Eddie... just for you... I stood on my head, hanging on to the railing... to get direct sun-light photos.

The longer I stare at the MTL GP35... I can start to see some type of a shade of green, but not as much as the AZL SD75i.

    Alex,
I was looking at some SPS N scale engines at the LHS and they said it was dark green, but they looked black to me. Guess I need new glasses )

The BNSF logo on the long hood is... :tb-hissyfit:

Yeah, the green is way too dark to my eye's and I see ALOT of BNSF Green every day.

Oh well... nothing we can do about it now.

Just fade the the paint a bit and you are right. Don't forget: all model locos in all scales are only "basemodels" :)

In your photos, the top of the fuel tank looks green. Also the green on the shell looks greenish whereas the trucks look black. As someone said - get out the weathering powders.

I wouldn't say the overall color is that dark, but the lettering should be paler and bluer.
