After months of releases that doesnt interest me, MTL finally came out with some interesting stuff. First, I definitely want want a CSX Gondola even though I already have one that has the same color scheme. I also want a Heritage scheme GP35. Its probably one of the more color engines, and its going to be a nice addition to my fleet.

Loren, Joe D'Amato: I see the long passenger trucks, be nice to have those in freight version.

Yup! Loren got my order as soon as he sent out the April MTL newsletter. A Heritage GP-35, a CSX Gondola, and a B&O Boxcar.

My only small complaint (not Loren's fault) was the April newsletter only had a drawing of the Heritage GP-35 and not a photo of the actual loco. The green is a bit off and you miss a lot of the details with the drawing and not the photo.

The tread about the banner has been removed? by admin? I got this mail from Wig-Wag trains as a reply to my mail:

"We have no idea what you are talking about. We have authorized no ad other than those we have had there for 4 years. "

I just ordered a Heritage Geep from Loren as well. I'll probably use it as a switcher when I run modern stuff.

I hope it's not the same month the CSX SD40-2's are due out :) . If so it will be my most expensive month yet in Z scale. Any idea on what color scheme? Hopefully YN2.

LOVE the April releases. THE B&O boxcar and the CSX gon.

Feature more CSX cars, they definetly sell quite well.

Different month and not sure on what paint scheme to be honest. A lot will depend on capacity...but it's on the way.

Great timing for announcing the circus cars as Ringling Brothers is in Portland this weekend.

    Eddie,
You just need to send me your email and I'll send it to you each month. Of course, you must sign a three year, non revocable contract to buy at least $200.00 worth of MTL product each month and send me 5 new names of interested folks who would like to do the same. I'm trying to reinvent Amway.)

Seriously, I'll be happy to send it to you each month.

Eddie, the five names were the easy part - I got them from the medical examiner's office but I'm not sure how "interested" they were ;>)

John, those names also voted in Florida. :D

Joe, in my research, I never found a YN2 GP35. Most of them were in the stealth scheme. I hope MTL does a YN1, otherwise I have to repaint the nose.

John you may be right about the YN2. I think I've seen YN2 GP-35's but can not say so with certainty. I'd settle for YN1. I agree about the stealth scheme, too bland, it's also my least favorite

With respect to the drawings of the BNSF Geeps, I'll ask for a photo when it's available and make sure it gets on the UMTRR "Month by Month" page even if it doesn't make the MTL website (which I suspect it will at some point in the month).

MTL courteously allows me to grab the images of the monthly releases and have them on my site. I didn't realize that I already am on my ninth year of these "Month by Month" pages... I started that in 2001?!?

    Huh?

Forgive me for being uninformed... "YN1", "YN2", "stealth scheme"?
