Well, actually it should be "albums" instead of gallery http://www.railimages.com/albums/pauldowns/aaa.jpg When you are in your railimages album, click on the thumbnail to get the full size image. Right click on the image and then click on "properties" at the bottom. You can then copy the jpg address from that screen. This is if you are using a PC with windows. I was never able to figure out what to do on an a Mac. Yeah, Chantilly was a hoot. Carl Sowell and I were set up right next to each other with the Wig-Wag modules set up on the other side of him. We had fun hosting all kinds of cool trains across our district. I had fun running my Sunset Limited across the Japanese suspension bridge. Talk about a time warp.
I tried to run a passenger train once, but the cops pulled me out of the cab. Four of my sixteen staging tracks have passenger trains on them. Two long hauls with Kato Superliner cars pulled by Kato Genisses locos and two locals pulled by Atlas B38-7s.
Those were some failed experiment where SP repowered a few units with some European Diesels (something like Spieltzer?) They created a unique paint scheme for them which the railfan community dubbed "Popsicles."
Russell - I don't want to be argumentive but the unit in my photo is an SD-45 # 7399 painted in the daylight colors in 1981. In 1984 7399 and a second daylight diesel #7342, an Sd-40E were used as helpers for 4449's journey from Portand to the World's Fair in New Orleans. The "popsicles" were actually retired U-25-B's rebuilt Sultzer power by Morrison-Knudsen. Check out "Souhtern Pacific in Transition" by Bill Shippen & Joe Shine.
I believe it was a modified SD45 turned into an "SD44R". I am not quite sure the difference engine-wise, but they were almost identical to any other SD45 externally. I wouldnt have known except I bought this model from Charlie Hopkins a few years ago. [ 14. January 2005, 01:41: Message edited by: seant_311 ]

And there was me thinking that American modellers only ran freight trains! The selection so far is very varied and interesting. Need more, though
