What I really love about this scene is the amount of space devoted to non-rail. The road, cars, hill, buildings...., and then there is the rail behind it all. Very nice :thumbs_up:
Here is the newest work for the ACTRR. This weekend I built a Bar Mills Banks Icing Platform. I still need to add roofs and paint he whole thing. You can also see the silo's to the Walthers ADM grain elevator that I split in two and primed for sanding. The icing platform will go near the depot on that same side of the yard. Mike
Actually it is a pretty easy kit. The parts are all laser cut and basicly laminate on top of each other to produce the hand built look. The stairs are a whole different animal , (pit bull). Thanks , Mike
In addition to what others have said, what really impresses me about this scene is the natural looking flow you have achieved with the Unitrack. Well done! -Gary
Mike, As always looking good. I have that same Micky D's and have the same idea for it as you did, Christmas is a great time of the year for model railroading and the decoration companies now and then come out with things that are very close to N-scale that can be used on our layouts.
Here is the final product after paint and matching to the Icehouse I already had. This is now a mix of a Bar Mills Banks Ice House kit and JL Innovative Design Brookside Icehouse kit. I really like the results. (Yes I know) the one ice handler seems to be intoxicated! Mike
I was able to squeeze in a little model railroading this weekend. I got the ranch well under way on the right side of the entry door. I still need to finish the field in the foreground , the river and ditch. Thanks , Mike
Mike, As always what you do on your layout helps all of us to strive for that look on our own layouts!!
Thanks boiler, it's kind of funny, I get most of my ideas look at other peoples layouts! Of course there is a lot of looking at the real world and perceiving the real world in your own mind and with my mind I'm kind of surprised that the layout doesn't like a Picasso painting!!!
New ACTRR I have had some time in the last couple weekends to finish the river , irrigation ditch and ranch. Here is how it all turned out. Thanks , Mike
