Yup! The old C19s and others with tall stacks were reversed into the roundhouse, as they wouldn't clear the rafters in the back. The Como roundhouse had the smoke hoods on the front, but was later rebuilt to have them in the rear.
Beautiful work on this project, inquiring minds that just might be doing something similar would want to know the gear ratio used.
Thanks! The gear ratio is 2:1, as I wanted to both reduce speed and increase the steps which in turn decreases the step distance, making it line up more precisely. I used a 24 t and a 48 t gear.
That Goose is much larger than I'd imagined, I've never seen one in person. Anyway you're scene is really good, you've really caught the flavor of the era.
Graff, How did you create the support wheels at the end of each side of the table? Did you cut down a set of trucks? Can you show a picture of the underside of the table, especial wheel areas? Thank
