I know it may be specific to the CB&Q & BN, but how about the slanted cupola caboose? Did other roads use a variation?
I really want you guys to start putting out Heavyweight coaches, diners, and baggage cars. I've been really looking forward to the obs car that's due this summer.
We've still never seen the early Northern Pacific passenger (North Coast Limited) scheme on a passenger car mass-produced. Now that Intermountain has done their F3's and F7's in this scheme, it's about time we got some cars to pull 'em! Seeing as those locos were all snatched up and in demand, perhaps the cars would be too? You should the many body styles of your heavyweight in this scheme and I'd pick up (heck, prepay for) 15-20 cars..... likely more. I am SURE that I'm not alone here.....
A scale test car in ATSF, been waiting for that one since they first came out. Otherwise a gradual upgrade of older cars (some of them have been around since the 70's) with body mount couplers, lower ride height etc. They don't need to be all at once but maybe every few new releases retool an old one rather than a new body style. Weathered cars without graffiti, I don't want to open a whole different discussion but as a railroader I can tell you that graffiti isn't weathering, it's vandalism. Do your otherwise excellent weathered cars without graffiti and I'll buy them. Maybe a few more weathered transition era cars. I'm not sure how relationships between manufacturers work but how about coupler conversion kits for Bachmann steam locos like the ones you could get for some locos in the old days with an appropriate coupler for the tender and a replacement pilot with working coupler. I don't mind the fantasy range as long as the profits made and skills acquired are put to use in the prototypical range.
Joe, I'd like to see the National Car built 89' modern flatcars in both deck types. Can be produced in XTTX, LTTX and PTTX marks with log and pipe bunks or for general purpose loading. I'd like about 30. Joe
I too would like to see a modern caboose painted for the Frisco, Katy, MP, RI, & Cotton Belt, and with multiple road numbers or made available in an undecorated version to build up a small fleet.
Yes. Some variants which would have been seen circa 1945-1960s. The more modern stuff is already available such as Norscot. Boxcab E50
DODX 4800 Series Flat cars for M1 tanks and M88 recovery vehicles Mid 1970's-1980's Autoracks with sheet metal protective sides, like these: http://www.railgoat.railfan.net/photos/sp/sp515372_jim_eager.jpg bridges the gap between your earlier 'racks and the modern styles that are available Nuclear Cask Cars!
Metal stanchions on the modern log car, the plastic ones on six out of the ten I received were broken on arrival. Can't really blame the breakage on MT but metal stanchions would be more durable.
I'd like to echo Flash's sentiments & thank you for giving all forum members a chance to contribute to the plight of N scale! Now, I definitely agree with this comment.Even look at re-doing the flat/gon molds? Would put forward a snow flanger, this type would be welcome but only used by some rr's. SPMW 329 or more on the money, these types could be a start, just change the plows to suite many diff rr's,including the Rio Grande & the Southern Pacific Type A Machine Photo's Dont know if Ive infringed on any copy rights here,if so mods pls remove.
50' Waffle Boxcars as others have said. Mine need to be in MEC colors. I also would like to see cabooses. A Northeast style would do really well. A ton of roads had them and with Walther's ridiculous pricing on theirs MT's would shine. A re-run of the 40 reefer in BAR in a runner pack would be cool too.
Early carbon black hoppers Southern / NS 50' Waffle Box CSX Waffle box - any variety Sorry about the quality, they were captured from a video I shot.
