Ben, this has been a great thread. Thanks for all of your efforts to cover a terrific railfan trip. :tb-biggrin:
Thank you! Thanks! It started as just a vacation to visit my wife's family in Warroad, MN. Seeing that we both had taken two weeks off we figured that we would take our time and do some of the tourist type attractions along the way. One thing led to another and I started researching where surviving steam engines were located along the route and made plans to see as many of them as I could. It's a good thing that my wife tolerates my addiction to trains. Ben
More Pictures to Follow I finally had time to resize some more photos from our trip. I'll try to get them uploaded and posted within the next couple of days. Ben
Warroad, MN One morning I woke up early to do some railfanning and headed east of town. I captured a few signal shots and a CN truck performing maintenance. Ben
CN Roll By - Warroad, MN Time for a quick CN roll by. It was nice to see something other than U.P. yellow. Ben
CN Roll By - Warroad, MN Continued My last shot in the Warroad area was of this CN unit that had recently crossed the border from Canada. Ben
I always have to smile and shake my head when I see warning signs that are covered by "nature" since they are not taken care of. As time goes by they might as well put the sign on the train itself that say you just been hit by a train. :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused:
